Obtaining Herbs
You can obtain herbs three ways: collect them, grow them, or purchase them. If you want to try collecting them, go out and see what Mother Nature has to offer you. You can find many herbs in such places as forests, fields, mountains, deserts, etc... If you do choose to collect herbs, you must remember to consider the environment. I wouldn;t suggest collecting herbs in a heavily polluted environment. Also, take the herbs in moderation. Take only what you need. Don't take the entire plant because that's just being selfish and furthermore don't forget to thank the plant. You can also grow herbs. This can be difficult at times but once you start to get results.......it's all good. :) The last alternative is to buy herbs. You can buy fresh ones at plant nurseries or you can buy some either by mail or online.
Once you've harvested fresh herbs, hang them upside down to dry. Avoid harvesting herbs after a rainfall or dew for they may mold when attempting to dry.
