FOP 16's EMERGENCY SERVICE MEMORIAL PROJECT
FOP 16 will be pushing in 2017 to build a memorial in Owensboro for members of emergency services that have lost their lives in the line of duty. Daviess County Judge Executive Al Mattingly, who is also an honorary member of FOP 16, has graciously donated space on the courthouse lawn of the Daviess County Courthouse for this memorial. There has never been one in Owensboro / Daviess County and with all of the development downtown, FOP 16 and Judge Executive Mattingly believes it is about time that there is somewhere in that development to honor the men and women who gave their lives protecting the citizens and their property.
