Feature: Addictive Old SNES Games: Part One
Yay! Tetris Attack! Anything with Yoshi in it is good, though, right? Anyway, I'll admit that this one bugs me a lot with its impossible combo attacks and such. (an 8 step skill combo? What?! And I'm supposed to pull this off in the last few seconds before Game Over?) However, I'm drawn to it to repeatedly get my butt kicked on hard level. The pic is on easy level, but I thought it would be easier to get a shot that way.
Yoshi's Island... yet another addictive ol' SNES game that's still in my collection. It has a storyline... sort of... but who cares about the storyline when you can run around, sort of fly in mid-air, and eat shyguys? Yum! And yes, that's baby Mario on Yoshi's back... but don't worry about him. He's just fine. (I would be sweating too... poor lil' guy. No wonder he grew up to become a lasagna obsessed plumber that mistreats his pet monkey.) ^_^
Here we see one of the lovely challenges involved in YI... Yoshi struggles to push a huge vase off of a platform while shyguys in white outfits try to drop missiles on him. "This is for our brothers! REVENGE!"
Ah! Here, we see one of the many unsanitary pipes that dispense colorful and yummy shyguys for Yoshi to eat and turn into eggs. Banana flavored... mmm!
There's Part One... in Part Two, we'll have a look at the Donkey Kong Country series. Woohoo.
