Do you have to read the Bible, or just have a personal relationship with Jesus in your heart? Go get your Bible and lets see what Jesus The King of Kings said. Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Jesus comes in the volume of the book, the whole book is written of Him. To have a personal relationship with Jesus you must have read the Bible at least once. Matthew 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. How does Jesus The Christ fight Satan, the tempter? Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Jesus said It is written. Were is it written? In the Bible. Do you mean Jesus read the Bible? Yes. 2Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. It does not matter who you are, the Bible says you must study it to be approved unto God. 1Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. How to be born again? By the Word of God. READ your Bible, don't listen to men. James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. James the brother of Jesus said the Bible is able to save your soul. That is why the Bible says if you just believe on Jesus you will be saved. Believe what? The Bible, remember what Jesus said "Lo I come in the volume of the book". John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. Jesus the Christ said YOU are going to be JUDGED by His Words, the Bible. Are you listening to men or Jesus Christ. Still think you don't have to read the Bible? Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. You don't have to read the Bible, it can cut a part soul and spirit. You will be judged by the Bible. Matthew 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. You don't have to study the Bible. Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. If you do not study the Bible, you can not know the will of The Father. Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Oh, we went to church after church, Lord. We had Ishtar and saved souls and singing and this and that. Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. If you don't study the Bible, you can't know Jesus The Christ or the will of our Father. Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: To hear Jesus you MUST read and study the Bible. Matthew 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Do you want Jesus The Christ to say to YOU "Did ye never read in the scriptures"? Isaiah 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. Friend, it says "Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read". Jesus Christ is the Word and the Word is in the Bible. If you don't read and study the Bible, you can't know Jesus Christ.
