Jeremiah the Prophet

Jeremiah the prophet was chosen by our Father for a most important mission, to move the throne of David. This required a descendant of David and Jacob's pillow stone which was for the coronation of the kings. Our Father's covenant with David is forever, lets start with the Book of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 1:1 The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that [were] in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:
Jeremiah 1:2 To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

Jeremiah lived in the kingdom of Judah, not the kingdom of Israel which had been destroyed over 100 years before by Assyria.

Jeremiah 1:3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.

Jeremiah lived at the time of the end of the kingdom of Judah. Babylon would take captive Jerusalem, the capital of Judah.

Jeremiah 1:4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Our Father knew Jeremiah before he was formed in his mother. Don't read over this, our Father knew everyone before we were formed in the flesh. This was back in the First World Age.

Jeremiah 1:6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I [am] a child.

Jeremiah was a teen at this time. This must have been an awesome experience for Jeremiah

Jeremiah 1:7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I [am] a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
Jeremiah 1:8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I [am] with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

If the LORD gives you a work to do, He will always be with you.

Jeremiah 1:9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

Our Father will always give you what is needed to do His will.

Jeremiah 1:10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

This is known as Jeremiah's commission, everyone agrees on the first part to pull down and to destroy the throne of David. Well Friend if Jeremiah was to destroy the throne of David then he must be going to build and plant the throne of David. Where did he plant the throne of David?

Jeremiah 1:14 Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
Jeremiah 1:15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.

The king of Babylon was coming to take the kingdom of Judah captive and end the throne of David.

Jeremiah 1:16 And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

Our Father has a two edge sword, salvation and judgement. The kingdom of Judah was worshipping false gods and idols, that will do it every time. There is nothing new under the sun.

Jeremiah 1:17 Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.

If the Father gives you a work, don't let todays false mind state make you choke on the job. Don't listen to men, listen to our Father.

Jeremiah 1:18 For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.

Why would our Father have to protect Jeremiah from his own people, from the priests, from the king of Judah? People do not want to hear the truth, Judah was polluted with evil.

Jeremiah 1:19 And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I [am] with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.

Our Father had about all He could take of Judah. Most people think that our Father ended the throne of David and went against His own word. Remember the throne of David is forever. Jeremiah will build and plant the throne of David, our Father keeps His word. As we move ahead to chapter 40, The king of Babylon has taken Jerusalem and Judah captive.

Jeremiah 40:1  The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.

The captain of the guard lets Jeremiah go free, this is amazing. Our Father is in control, even today.

Jeremiah 40:2  And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.
Jeremiah 40:3  Now the LORD hath brought [it], and done according as he hath said: because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.
Jeremiah 40:4  And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which [were] upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land [is] before thee: whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go.

The captain of the guard tells Jeremiah to go any place he wants to, very stange. Where will Jeremiah go? Do you remember the commission, to build and plant?

Jeremiah 40:5  Now while he was not yet gone back, [he said], Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.

Jeremiah goes free and the captain of the guard gives him victuals, food and supplies. The word reward could be a number of things, even the coronation stone or Jacob's Pillar Stone. The coronation stone is the throne and I think Jeremiah took it with him. But, where did he go?

Jeremiah 40:6  Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Jeremiah went to Mizpah. Why did Jeremiah go to Mizpah? We go to chapter 52 for some interesting info.

Jeremiah 52:1  Zedekiah [was] one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name [was] Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

Jeremiah was king Zedekiah's Grandfather. The king of Babylon killed king Zedekiah and all his sons, to end the throne of David. You would not think that the king of Babylon would let Jeremiah go free. We go to Jeremiah 41:10 to find out why jeremiah went to Mizpah.

Jeremiah 41:10  Then Ishmael carried away captive all the residue of the people that [were] in Mizpah, [even] the king's daughters, and all the people that remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam: and Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive, and departed to go over to the Ammonites.

Jeremiah went to get his Great Granddaughters, which happened to be the royal seed line of David. Remember Jeremiah was given his freedom to go anywhere, plus money and supplies, and the reward or I think Jacob's Pillar Stone. Jeremiah has everything he needs to build and plant the throne of David. The king of Babylon should have read the law.

Numbers 27:8  And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.

The king of Babylon killed king Zedekiah and all his sons thinking it would end the throne of David, our Father keeps His WORD. Jeremiah and his group will go to Egypt and then later on to Ireland. This was just a basic study of Jeremiah's commission to build and plant the throne of David. There is so much more to the Book of Jeremiah, you should continue on your own. Lets end this study in the Book of Isaiah.

Isaiah 37:31  And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:
Isaiah 37:32  For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

The LORD of host shall do this, and He did. King Fergus moved Jacob's Pillar Stone from Ireland to Scotland. Scotland was named from one of Zedekiah's daughters, Scota. Later it was moved to England, Today it is back in Scotland. Jeremiah and his commission, makes me think of the throne today and the Lady who sits on it. God save the Queen. Understand, this Rock is the Gate of Heaven.
