The Stone of Destiny | |||||

We continue our study of Jacob's Pillow Stone by tracing the Stone thru the Bible. The nation of Israel had come out of Egypt and were in the wilderness. There was no water. Exodus 17:3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore [is] this [that] thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst? Exodus 17:4 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me. Moses had problems, he lead them out of Egypt and now over a million people wanted water. Exodus 17:5 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go. Exodus 17:6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. This is the same stone, the nation of Israel will take this stone with them 40 years in the wilderness, or they will not have water. How do you think over a million people made it thru the dessert for 40 years. How did Moses know which rock in Horeb, because Moses had the stone and would take it to Horeb and set it up. Most people don't know what the nation of Israel was up against in the conquest of Canaan. The fallen angels had mixed with the people of Canaan. Canaan was a land of giants. Exodus 17:9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. Exodus 17:10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. Amalek was a giant and so was his people. Exodus 17:11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. Exodus 17:12 But Moses' hands [were] heavy; and they took a stone, and put [it] under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Exodus 17:13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. You might not think so but this is the same stone. Israel was in the heat of battle against giants and no telling what else. I think Moses would use Israel's pillar stone, Bethel House of God, in a battle against hybrid monsters like Amalek. This time the water from the Stone will cost Moses because he did not obey our Father. Think of it this way Friend our Father is the Rock and the water from the Rock is The Living Water. Numbers 20:5 And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it [is] no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither [is] there any water to drink. Numbers 20:6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them. Numbers 20:7 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Numbers 20:8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. Moses was to speak to the Stone but the people were always being a problem for him. Moses was caught between the people and our Father, and the people were always crying about something. This generation would not make it to Canaan, they would die in the wilderness. Numbers 20:9 And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him. Numbers 20:10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? Numbers 20:11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts [also]. Numbers 20:12 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. Moses just had to much of the people crying about nothing all the time. Our Father had done so much for the people of Israel but they did not believe Him. Moses made a mistake because of the people and it cost him. The stone was always with the nation of Israel and its leader, in this case Joshua. Joshua 24:26 And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that [was] by the sanctuary of the LORD. Not just any stone, but a great stone. Joshua 24:27 And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God. Friend for the stone to hear all the words of the LORD it would have had to have been with them from Egypt. Do you deny this stone? Once again we see the stone with the leader of Israel, in this case king David 1Chronicles 11:13 He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines. 1Chronicles 11:14 And they set themselves in the midst of [that] parcel, and delivered it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved [them] by a great deliverance. 1Chronicles 11:15 Now three of the thirty captains went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim. Yes the stone was with king David. This is the blessing given by Israel to his son Joseph before he dies. This blessing is for the latter days. Genesis 49:22 Joseph [is] a fruitful bough, [even] a fruitful bough by a well; [whose] branches run over the wall: Genesis 49:23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot [at him], and hated him: Genesis 49:24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty [God] of Jacob; (from thence [is] the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) The shepherd, the stone of Israel will be with Joseph. The stone of Destiny rest in Edinburgh Scotland, it has been called Jacob's Pillow Stone. The coronation of all the kings of Ireland, Scotland and Britain have been on this stone of Destiny for the last 2500 years. The Stone in The New Testament. 1Corinthians 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; This is the people of Israel coming out of Egypt, thru the Red Sea. Was Jacob's Pillow Stone with them? 1Corinthians 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 1Corinthians 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; Angel's food was rained down on the people of Israel, by our Father, in the wilderness. 1Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. Jacob's Pillow Stone, The Stone of Destiny, so much in the history of this stone you should look in to it. During World War Two the Stone was more guarded than the Crown Jewels, it is history.
