Exclusive: ONLY UK DATE! by Oliver Gray (January 1999)
January 25th sees the Wedgewood Rooms at Southsea presenting a UK exclusive with the only live performance anywhere in the country, including London, of John Parish's soundtrack to the recently released film Rosie. A live band, which will include John, Rob Ellis and Jeremy Hogg from PJ Harvey's band, as well as Alison Goldfrapp from Tricky, Adrian Utley from Portishead and Eric Drew Feldman (who will be flying in specially from San Francisco), will perform soundtrack music to a backdrop of extracts from the film adapted by Michelle Henning, Maria Mochnacz, Rebecca Goddard and Ben Shillabeer. John Parish has strong Winchester connections and this will be a rare and unusual evening. Tickets at £6 advance available from the usual outlets.
