New England Patriots (8-8)
16. New England
Patriots
RB J.R. Redmond, Arizona State
The Patriots have a lot of questions at running back. Yes, the did sign Raymont Harris, but he was out of football last year and who knows if he can get back to the form he was in when he played with the Bears. Kevin Faulk just isn't durable, and who knows if Robert Edwards will ever step on a football field again. For these reasons, I believe they will go with J.R. Redmond, although it would not shock me if they took an offensive lineman or a wide receiver.

Oakland Raiders (8-8)
17. Oakland
Raiders

LB Matt Beck, California
The Raiders could use some help at linebacker. Matt Beck has had injury problems for the last couple of years, but when healthy he reminds people of Jack Lambert. Look for him to be the Raiders' selection.

New York Jets (8-8)
18. New York
Jets
TE Anthony Becht, West Virginia
The Jets have to come out of this draft with a tight end. They are high on Anthony Becht and he will be their choice.

Dallas Cowboys (8-8)
19. Dallas
Cowboys
CB Deltha O'Neal, California
The Cowboys will most certainly be without CB Deon Sanders next season, and will have to do something to try and replace him. Look for them to select CB Deltha O'Neal.

Detroit Lions (8-8)
20. Detroit
Lions
DE John Abraham, South Carolina
The chances of DE Robert Porcher returning to the Lions are very slim, and the Lions will have to address the defensive end position in the draft. John Abraham is the best defensive end left on the board and he will be the Lions choice.

Kansas City Chiefs (9-7)
21. Kansas City
Chiefs
LB Na'il Diggs, Ohio State*
The Chiefs have holes at the linebacker spot and will need to address that through the draft. Na'il Diggs will be their choice.

Seattle Seahawks (9-7)
22. Seattle
Seahawks
LB Rob Morris, Brigham Young
The Seahawks need a bigger, more physical presence in the middle of their defense. Rob Morris is the player they need to soilidify their defense.

Miami Dolphins (9-7)
23. Miami
Dolphins
OG Leander Jordan, Indiana-Pa.
The Dolphins are searching for a starting guard and have signed G Heath Irwin, but I have a feeling they will still be looking to strengthen this position through the draft. Jimmy Johnson will still be consulting Wannstedt for this draft, and he loves small school players, so I think that Leander Jordan has a good shot at being the Dolphins' pick.

Minnesota Vikings (10-6)
24. Minnesota
Vikings

(From Washington)
DE Mao Tosi, Idaho
The Vikings tried to solve their problems on the defensive line last year by selecting Dimitrius Underwood. We all know how that turned out. Maybe this year they will get it right. They will attempt to do so by selecting DE Mao Tosi.

Minnesota Vikings (10-6)
25. Minnesota
Vikings
CB Ike Charlton, Virginia Tech*
The Vikings got a corner in the first round, but they still need another one. Look for them to take Ike Charlton with this pick.

Buffalo Bills (11-5)
26. Buffalo
Bills
CB Dwayne Goodrich, Tennessee
The Bills lost Thomas Smith through free agency this off season and will need to replace him. Dwayne Goodrich is a big corner who should fit in nicely opposite of Antoine Winfield.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11-5)
27. Tampa Bay
Buccaneers
LB Dustin Lyman, Wake Forest
The Bucs took a big blow in free agency with the loss of Hardy Nickerson. Look for them to select Dustin Lyman with this pick so that he can compete with Jamie Duncan to be the Bucs' starter in the middle.

Indianapolis Colts (13-3)
28. Indianapolis
Colts
WR Darrell Jackson, Florida*
The Colts had a great deal of problems at the wide receiver position last season. Look for them to try to build up some depth with the selection of Darrell Jackson.

Jacksonville Jaguars (14-2)
29. Jacksonville
Jaguars
OG Terrance Beadles, Arkansas-Pine Bluff
The Jaguars need a guard after the departure of Rich Tylyski and the expected loss of Ben Coleman. Terrance Beadles is a sleeper type player who the Jags might take a chance on here.

Tennessee Titans (13-3)
30. Tennessee
Titans
DT Darwin Walker, Tennessee
The Titans' need some more numbers on the defensive line. Lack of depth is a concern, especially after the suspension of Josh Evans for the entire 2000 season.

St. Louis Rams (13-3)
31. St. Louis
Rams
C Rob Riti, Missouri
The Rams lost Mike Gruttadaria in free agency and need some more help at the center position. Rob Riti has all of the tools to be a very effective starting center in this league.
