Cleveland Browns (2-14)
1. Cleveland
Browns
RB Shyrone Stith, Virginia Tech*
The Browns signed RB Errict Rhett to be their starter for the 2000 season, but he cannot be considred the long-term solution at that position for the Browns. Shyrone Stith could come in and provide competition at a position that was completely devoid of competition last season. Defensive line could also be a possibility with this selection.

New Orleans Saints (3-13)
2. New Orleans
Saints
WR Dennis Northcutt, Arizona
The Saints have addressed many of their needs for next season through free agency and they will be looking for the best player available with this pick. New Saints GM Randy Mueller wants to add speed to the team, so a speedy wide out is his most likely pick. Look for the Saints to go with Dennis Northcutt if he is still on the board. Andre Hastings will most likely be released at some point, and the addition of Northcutt to a wide receiver group that includes Jake Reed, Joe Horn, and Keith Poole will give the Saints some weapons to work with.

San Francisco (4-12)
3. San Francisco
49ers
CB Hank Poteat, Pittsburgh
The 49ers will continue filling needs with this pick by selecting CB Hank Poteat. The 49er secondary was just brutal last year and they really need to get at least two corners out of this draft.

Cincinnati Bengals (4-12)
4. Cincinnati
Bengals
CB Ahmed Plummer, Ohio State
The Bengals have selected a corner with their last two second round picks, and I don't see why this year would be any different. The Bengals were horrible on the corners last season and Ahmed Plummer will be Mike Brown's choice to solidify that position.

Atlanta Falcons (5-11)
5. Atlanta
Falcons
WR R. Jay Soward, USC
The Falcons signed WR Shawn Jefferson in free agency, but they could still use another wide receiver. R. Jay Soward is the best wide out on the board.

Philadelphia Eagles (5-11)
6. Philadelphia
Eagles
WR Todd Pinkston, Southern Mississippi
The Eagles wide receiver play last season left a lot to be desired, and they will need to address that position through the draft. Todd Pinkston will be the Eagles' pick.

Arizona Cardinals (6-10)
7. Arizona
Cardinals

OT Marvel Smith, Arizona State*
The Cardinals still need improvement on the offensive line. Marvel Smith would be a major improvement for the Cards and should be able to come in and start immediately.

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-10)
8. Pittsburgh
Steelers
WR Danny Farmer, UCLA
The Steelers selected WR Troy Edwards in the draft last season, but they still need to improve at that position. Danny Farmer would give them the big, possesion receiver that they are sorely lacking.

Chicago Bears (6-10)
9. Chicago
Bears
CB Lewis Sanders, Maryland*
The Bears struggled in the secondary last season and I would expect them to use this pick to address that area of the team. Lewis Sanders should be the Bears' pick.

Denver Broncos (6-10)
10. Denver
Broncos
OT Adrian Klemm, Hawaii
The Broncos could use some improvement at the tackle spot. If Klemm is available, look for him to be their selection.

New York Giants (7-9)
11. New York
Giants

LB Julian Peterson, Michigan State
The Giants need some help at linebacker and they love Big Ten players. Look for them to select Julian Peterson.

Carolina Panthers (8-8)
12. Carolina
Panthers
OT Michael Thompson, Tennessee State
The Panthers really need some help on the offensive line. Clarence Jones is not starting material, and he should be replaced by Michael Thompson.

San Diego Chargers (8-8)
13. San Diego
Chargers
DT Fred Robbins, Wake Forest
The Chargers lost free agent DT Norman Hand to the Saints this off season and will have to replace him. Fred Robbins doesn't have the size that Hand does, but he is still a very solid player.

Baltimore Ravens (8-8)
14. Baltimore
Ravens

QB Chris Redman, Louisville
Many people thought Redman would go in the first, but I just don't see it happening now. He really hurt himself with a poor 40-time at the combine and there just isn't much demand for QBs this year. Look for Billick to take Redman as a development project.

Green Bay Packers (8-8)
15. Green Bay
Packers
DT Cornelius Griffin, Alabama
The Packers got a defensive end in the first round, but they still need help on the defensive line. Cornelius Griffin has really been moving up the draft board and it would not surprise me at all if the Packers took him with this pick.
