The Royal Navy, although nothing compared to what it once was, is a formidable fighting force with the ability to deploy sea, air and ground forces anywhere in the world in a very short space of time. Britains three vstol carriers and one assault carrier are the backbone of the fleet enabling vital air defence and troop deployment on a large scale. Whilst nowhere near the size of the US Navy, the Royal Navy is still considered one of the finest fighting forces in the world.
