Some of my poetry... let me know what you think.

* No Coins for Charon *

I have seen the shadows
beyond the sea
The Styx has slowed
her boats for me

I caught a glimpse
of Hades' songs
When my mother's youth
fell on the dawn

I fought for her
and brought her sight
I stood in that river
by lantern light

I wore my gauntlet
in the bloody waves
For the sake of love
and hearts obeyed

My knees were God's
I prayed for strength
I knelt in those waters
but I did not drink

Then Gabriel rose
on Eden's shore
And my mother's life
was no more

My gauntlet dropped
as God dealt the day
I lowered my shield
and knelt to pray

The Styx she ne'er
leaves the dreams
Of a warrior who has
her waters seen

She calls in rage
she calls in tears
She calls in whimpers
and in fears

Come hear my songs
she calls to me
You've heard them once
you'll ne'er be free

Oh Friend, the Styx
has slowed for you
Her harbor awaits
her ships are true

You've turned your back
for a martyr's tear
You have no gauntlet
you have no fear

My gauntlet still
fits tight my hand
And from the sea
my rage demands

That your tears are false
your courage weak
The Styx will not
your life-blood seek

You have not seen
the battle days
You have not seen
the bloody waves

You have no gauntlet
you have no love
You have no honor
for the battle's glove

And yet your tears
flow from the shore
As if to say
you've been to war

A farce ne'er stands
in Hades' shadows
Your heart belongs
upon her gallows

My armour shone
in battle's light
Its blade and dagger
became my sight

I felt the days
become so free
But I awaited
the Sword of Damocles

Then my bloody gauntlet
I braced once more
As my lover said
I am not yours

I remember the seas
of my youth
Jungles of sunshine
of rain and truth

When I left one day
my heart was sent
To Styx's harbor
my gauntlet bent

Did it start so long ago
before I knew of battle's songs
And did the ships of Hades' wait
for me before my dawn
