Your laughter echoes down the halls;
Your name's still written on the walls.
Your smile still shines bright and true;
We're still missing you.
But we're taking it slowly day by day,
Trying to accept that you've gone away.
Aching to believe that life goes on,
But it's hard to accept death when you don't seem to be gone.
So as the hours turn to days and life drifts slowly by,
We all know the when, where, and how; all we need is the why?
I still see you in the faces of your family and friends,
And in the eyes, especially, where her love will never end.
You were an angel truly God sent,
A blue-eyed angel by the name of Brent.
