With the excitement of Euro 2004 now firmly behind us, you need wait no longer to enter a side in this season's biggest and bestest fantasy football game.

WHAT IS FANTASY FOOTBALL?

Ever thought about being a football manager? Now's your chance.

We invite you, the manager, to pick a team of one coach and eleven players using an imaginary budget of £55million. The players you choose score points for you depending on their performances on the pitch in Premiership and FA Cup matches.

Players score points for scoring goals, setting up goals (called Key Contributions) and, for goalkeepers and defenders, preventing goals. All players lose points for red and yellow cards and missing penalties.

You can even make changes to your team during the season, testing your skill in the transfer market. At the end of the game, the manager with the highest number of points wins at least £100*. Simple as that!

WHY PLAY FANTASY FOOTBALL?

As ever, the game is great value at just £10 per entry - this fantastic offer also includes a knock-out cup competition for no extra cost. There is no restriction to the amount of teams you can enter.

We can even set up a mini-league for you to check on how you're doing against your mates / enemies / colleagues. (There will be no prizes offered for your mini-league, they will only be won in the total FFL and cup competitions.

Picking a team

Select a team with a collective value of no more than £55 million. This team must consist of 1 coach, 1 goalkeeper, 4 defenders, 3 midfielders and 3 strikers. There is no limit to the number of players you can select from any one Premiership team.

Making transfers

You can make up to 5 transfers during the transfer window in the season. Your transfers will only come into effect on 1st January 2005, but if you choose not to make any changes you will be compensated with 20 points for each unused transfer. Once you've registered your team, you'll also get 11 pre-season transfers, in case you need to alter your team before the season starts on August 14.

Scoring points

The points will be calculated once a week and your score and position will be updated each Wednesday. This will include all matches played up to and including the preceding Monday. Scores and leaderboards will be published every Wednesday throughout the season.

Points are award for FA Cup and Premiership matches.

* You will win £100 for winning the league competition, the final prize fund won't be known until we have all entries in.
