This has to be some of the brightest green trucks I have come across. The green and cream truck belongs to Thorofare Fire Company in Thorofare, NJ. Engine 612 is a 1982 Pierce/Chevy pumper. |
|
This 1991 Simon/Grummen pumper is another eye catcher of Thorofare Fire Company. Note the rear controls which are very similar to one I shot in Irmo, SC and which is posted on the pumper pages.

Newest piece with the Thorofare Fire Company in Thorofare, NJ is this 1998 Pierce Saber. This is a nice combination of green and cream on the roof. You can see the shade of cream by comparing it to the white stripe on the side.

This is one of several powder blue rigs operated by the Whitman Square Fire Company in Washington TWP, NJ. Engine 1023 is a 1986 Pierce Arrow.

I caught this 1997 Simon-Duplex 75' ladder at a football game in Washington TWP, NJ. It belongs to Whitman Square Fire Company.

The newest rig operated by the Whitman Square Fire Company is this 2001 Saulsbury seen here in front of their new station in Washington TWP, NJ.

Young America Fire Company is no more. It has been merged with the Mitchell Fire Company, both of Burlington, NJ. This is their 2001 Pierce Lance with a 100' ladder. A new name was not known at the time of this writing so if anyone has the new name of the fire company please pass it on to me.

Here's the station the huge ladder pictured above used to squeeze into. The station is now a town museum and was built in the 1800's. Location is Burlington, NJ.
