chapter 19 Chapter 19- Sierra Says Goodbye

"I'm a dude, he's a dude, she's a dude, you're a dude, cause we're all dudes, hey! I'm a dude, he's a dude..."

"Zac! Please! I'm trying to sleep before we get to New York," groaned Taylor.

"But All That is on. Don't you want to watch it?" The guys had been watching the show every day while on the trip. "We can invite Tamara to come over."

"Oh yeah Zac, she'll just jump between two moving buses in the middle of the Interstate." He sighed. "Besides, she hates me anyway."

Zac leaped over to Taylor's bunk. "What? Why? What happened?" Taylor rolled over on his side and ignored him. "What's going on here?!"

"Shut up."

"Did she find out about Sierra? That you're a player and were cheating on her? Are you leading a secret life and want to confront your lovers? If so, then you could be on the Jerry Springer Show..."

Taylor threw a pillow at Zac. "Zac, shut up. It's nothing. It never was anything."

"The bus stopped," said Zac.

"Oh."

"We should get out."

"Yeah."

"I'm going."

"Okay."

"Are you coming?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Just go!" Taylor yelled at Zac at the top of his lungs.

Zac backed out the door. "Okay okay, sheesh," he mumbled to himself as he left. "PMS or something..."

Taylor glared at himself in the mirror. I am a loser. LOSER! He stuck his tounge out at himself in the mirror.

"Um, Taylor?" asked Ike, giving Tay a weird look as he popped his head in the bus. "Coming?"

"Uh, yeah," Tay replied as he grabbed a fresh shirt and changed into it. He followed Ike off the bus and outside. Tamara was standing by Avery and she shot him a dirty look as he came outside. He went over to hide behind Ike so he wouldn't have to face her. He and his brothers went inside the venue and went to the dressing room backstage as the eqiupment managers set up their instruments on stage. Suddenly a voice rang out in the quietness of the building.

"TAYLOR!!!!!!!!!!" shrieked a blonde haired girl, running towards him. Taylor spun around. In all his depression about Tamara he had forgotten that he was meeting Sierra at today's concert in New York. Sierra ran towards him with her arms outstretched and Taylor gulped and hugged her as she ran in his arms. She hugged him fiercly as Taylor hesitantly stood there. Get it together, man. She's your girlfriend.

"Oh Taylor, I've missed you soooo much!" She wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned in and gave him a big kiss. Taylor tried to back away, but she wouldn't let go, she kept kissing him.

Taylor looked desperatly around and as she was kissing him, Tamara walked by, heading towards the bathroom, which was right where they were standing. She stopped and started backing up.

"Ummm, sorry," she stuttered as she turned away, with tears in her eyes. She blinked them back and ran down the hall.

"Tamara..." Taylor started.

Sierra let go of him and stared down the hall after Tamara. "Who was THAT?" she sneered.

"Um, just the babysitter."

"Well, she is just too cool, huh? Nice hair," she laughed. Taylor shot her a glance.

"Hey, she's not that bad, Sierra."

"Yeah, if you like the 'yeah, I'm a girl, but I don't care' type."

"She's babysitting. She's not going to be wearing the latest Calvin Klien dress to babysit my sisters."

"Oh, you noticed my dress? Isn't it just darling?" said Sierra, spinning around.

"Um yeah." Taylor said, fuming about Sierra's snobby comments.

Sierra didn't even notice. "I can't believe I only get to spend this afternoon with you. We have so much to catch up on! First of all, let me tell you about my new modeling thing. See this guy saw me at..." Sierra babbled on about being discovered at McDonalds and Taylor tuned her out. They went outside and walked down the street towards a park.

I can't believe how full of herself she is, thought Taylor. Why didn't I see this before?

"So then all these hot guys were talking to me and I was like, wait, I have a boyfriend, right? So I thought of you then. Taylor? Taylor?"

"What? Oh, cool."

"Taylor, you are not paying any attention to me at all!" whined Sierra. "I haven't seen you forever and then you're in la la land..."

"Oh, sorry."

"Good," she smiled sweetly and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "So then..."

Taylor could see the buses from where they were standing on a bridge overlooking the Hudson River and he could see Tamara playing outside with Mackenzie. He sighed.

"Taylor, like what is your problem? Your acting like you're not even happy to see me. What the heck do you keep looking at?" She looked over where Tamara was standing. "You are not looking at that stupid babysitter, are you? I mean, she is like a total..."

"Sierra, shut up!" said Taylor standing up. "You should be talking! You're such a snob, all you care about is yourself..."

"What do you think you're saying? You like her don't you? Oh, please Taylor. Why would you want her when you have me?" she glared at him.

"Yeah, why would I want you when I could have her?" Taylor said as he started to walk away.

"Exactly. Hey, wait a minute. Taylor! Where do you think you're going? Taylor! Get back here! You are NOT choosing her over me!" Sierra stood on the bridge screaming at him.

"Looks like I just did," Tay said to himself. Sierra watched him walk away as she climbed on top of the railing of the bridge. She stood up and wobbled back and forth as she looked down to the water below.

"Hanson sucks!" she yelled as she jumped off the bridge into the water, twenty feet below. There was a big splash, that caused Taylor to turn around and see what made the noise. He saw that Sierra had left, so he just shrugged and walked towards Tamara.

He ran over to where Tamara was sitting alone on a bench outside the buses. He stood there for a minute without really knowing what to say.

"Um, hey," Taylor said cautiously. "Where's everyone else?"

"Inside. I have a break," she said coldly. "Nice girlfriend."

"Tamara, about that..."

"Sorry to walk in on you while you were making out. But obviously you're used to that," she replied, referring to the time that they were caught making out at the aquarium by a elderly custodian.

"Look, when Sierra came, I realized that I didn't like her anymore, she wasn't what I remembered at all. I saw that I really liked you instead," Taylor said looking at the ground.

Oh Taylor my love, how I love you. I forgive you, love of my life. "Sure you do. You like her, then you like me, then you like her and now you like me again? How can I believe you?" She turned away from him and sat facing the other direction.

"I don't know, just do. Me and Sierra, it's over. I told her about you..."

"You dumped her?"

"Yeah."

"Because of me?"

"Yeah." They both stared at each other for a second, wondering what was going to happen next. Tamara suddenly reached over and grabbed Taylor and gave him a big hug. They held each other for a while, until something broke the moment.

"Oh, that's so beautiful, isn't it Zac?" sniffed Ike, brushing away an imaginary tear from his eye.

"Yes, I just love young love, don't you?" Zac said holding back his laughter.

"You had me at hello. Tear," said Ike.

"That will go great on the official tour video, don't you think," asked Zac holding up a video camera.

"What is THIS?" shrieked Sierra, who had crawled back to the site, soaking wet.

Tamara and Taylor just looked at each other and burst out laughing.
