Chapter 9- Say What?

Zac and Holly were tied up and place in the back of a black Lincoln, which quickly sped away from the scene of the crime, causing them to bounce around. Zac spit out the hankerchief that was in his mouth.

"I think we at least deserve seatbelts!"

"Shhh!" hissed Holly. "You don't know who you're dealing with."

"What the heck are you talking about? What is it that you were going to tell me?" Zac asked. Holly looked away. "You can tell me," said Zac. "There's no one else here I can tell!" Holly smiled a little, but then her face turned serious again.

"Okay," she sighed. "My last name is Windsor."

"So?" said Zac, confused. "What does that mean?"

"That's right, you're American," she replied.

"Hey, if you want to go into that again..."

"Just shut up, Zac. You really don't get it, do you?" Holly asked impatiently.

"No! Gee whiz, you're acting like a spoiled royal," Zac shot back. He saw the hurt in Holly's eyes and immediatly felt bad. I hope I'm not turning into Taylor about this whole girl thing!

"That's just it," Holly said quietly. "My last name is Windsor. You know, the royal family?" Zac's eyes got wide and he looked at her in disbelief.

"You're saying that you are royalty?" Zac said.

"I am. Believe me, I wouldn't lie about this. Not to you."

"Well... why didn't you just tell me first? I mean, I wouldn't have been mean to you or ..." Zac said.

"Most people think I'm snobby because of my family and I don't have any friends around here because I have a private tutor. That's why I said I never have any fun."

"What did you mean about the staff at Explosion knowing what you wanted?" Zac asked.

"Because that's the only place I can go to get away. No one in my family knows I go there." They sat in silence as the car drove on.

"I wonder where we're going," Zac said aloud. "I hope we get back in time for 9:30 tommorrow. I have a very important press conference and my parents will kill me!"

"I think you have an excuse," Holly said dryly. The car slowed to a stop at the side of a old abandoned warehouse. Their kidnappers got out of the car and pulled Zac and Holly out. They were lead into the building, which Zac noticed a sign that said CONDEMED.

Great, I bet this place has rats. They were taken into a room and tied up in the corner. The room was a small, cramped space with no windows. There was a rotten chair in one corner, along with a cooler and some old blankets. On the other side of the room was a phone, which was plugged into the only electrical outlet in the room.

"Well, well well," said a tall man with a black coat on and sunglasses. "Finally, we have her," he said speaking to the two other men that were in the room. "I'll make the call tonight. You," he said speaking to a short, fat bald man, "Go out and get some drinks and food. I'll stay here." The man left the room in a hurry, leaving the two other man. Zac looked at them warily. "And it looks like we got a bonus here. We can probably get a couple million for him too."

"A couple million," spat Zac. "Do you know how much I'm worth?!" The man glared at him.

"Did I say anything to you?" he asked Zac. Zac looked at his shoes. Suddenly his yellow dox didn't look so bright anymore.

"Um, nooo."

"Okay, then sit there and shut up." Zac sat there and shut up. Holly decided to speak up.

"Look, who are you?"

The man laughed evily. "You wouldn't remember, would you? I bet you'd like to know, wouldn't you?"

"Well, actually..." started Zac.

"What did I tell YOU," the man yelled at Zac. Holly got mad.

"Hey, he didn't do ANYTHING. Let him go and keep me. I know who you are."

"Holly, maybe you better just keep quiet," Zac said to her under his breath.

"No! I know who you are."
