Heavy Hearts

As each day slowly turns to night
And the day comes to an end,
We reflect on what we learned today,
And pray for things to mend.
As slowly as the night falls
Sometimes death comes that way too.
It's unbearable to watch and see
Someone slowly leaving you.
Death is such a painful thing
It eats your heart away.
There's always a part of who you love
In your heart will forever stay.
Some people live in our world
To teach us lessons well,
Whatever their mission here on Earth
No one can ever tell.
I know of an earthly angel
Who has finally earned her wings.
Her teachings here on earth are done
Now in Heaven she sings.
She's left us all with heavy hearts
For part of us is gone.
Until we meet again in Heaven
Each of our lives will go on.
Thank you Dottie for teaching us,
You've shown us what love can do.
Through your passion and zest for life
We'll always remember you!
Dream, Wish and Fantasy

Do I have the right to feel the way I do?
To feel what I feel when I think about you?
I have no right, that's what others would say.
I can't blame my heart for feeling this way.
These feelings I have, where can they lead?
Holding you in my arms is what I desperately need.
Others will say it'll lead to heartache and tears.
I try to supress these feelings and fears.
My heart is with you, but here is my home.
Here I feel so isolated and alone.
You bring out a feeling that's growing in me
A feeling that's growing, only you can see.
How I've imagined to be held in your arms
To feel the warmth of all of your charms.
For all of your love, I'll gladly forever wait,
Our timing is off... it must be our fate.
You've filled a void within my soul
With you in my heart, I now feel whole.
You've done something special, accepting me for me
You're my Dream, my Wish, my Fantasy.

For Whatever Reason

Why did this happen? How did it come to be?
Is there a reason behind it that we cannot see?
The bond of our friendship, can all this be real?
It can't be explained, it's something we feel.
For whatever the reason, each other we've found
Was it destiny or fate or something more profound?
The friendship we have, grows stronger each day
There's a "special bond between us" we could say.
What exactly drew us together, we may never know
But in our hearts the seeds of friendship did grow.
We confide in each other, without judgement or fear,
Miles may seperate us, but in our hearts we are near.
We have the ability to see when each other is blue,
Comforting and reassuring words that are true.
To some they may be just words on a screen,
But we know better, we know what they mean.
We're here for each other when the going gets tough
We help carry the load when it gets too rough.
You'll always hold a special place in my heart
You've touched my soul, right from the start.
Whatever the reason, we found each other that day
Friendship forever, that's the way it will stay.
The bond that we have is more precious than gold
"Those who have friends are rich" I am told.
Our friendship has a very special and undying love
A love I believe came from the heavens above.
For whatever the reason, you'll always be there
In a special place in my heart to love and to care.

How do I explain this feeling?
A bond so deep and true
An emotion that I've never had
Until the day I've met you.
I've had so many other "friends"
But never felt this way.
You're someone I can confide in,
And, there my secrets stay.
It does't matter if we're together
Or even far apart,
There's a part of you within me
Growing deep within my heart.
Our bond is like none other
So difficult to describe.
It's truly like a magic spell
No doctor can prescribe.
You're the one who understands me
You sense when I am blue.
You know just what to say
You know what I'm going through.
It's more than a best friend feeling
It's a much stronger kind of love.
It's the kind of love I want
The kind I need more of.

In my heart you'll always be.

That you are to me.

Who has touched a part of me.
This very special friend of mine
Has touched my soul, you see.
Through gentle words of love,
And the understanding of me,
This very special friend of mine
In my heart will always be.
We have so many things in common
But still we're worlds apart.
The people that we love,
Share different parts of our heart.
This very special friend of mine
Has completed my whole life.
My friend has put a frame around
The picture I call life.
My life was nothing but a picture
Without a perfect frame,
My life is so much better now,
It will never be the same.
This very special friend of mine
Has made my life complete.
Without this very special friend
I'd have given up in defeat.
This is for my special friend
And you know who you are.
For you'll always be so close to me

Have you ever had a someone in your life
who you knew from the start,
Would turn out to be your best friend
who really touched your heart?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who is open and honest with you,
Where there are no hidden secrets
only feelings honest and true?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who you'll never have to fear,
There's no rejection or criticism
just words you need to hear?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who always knew just what to say
No matter what you talk about
on any particular day?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who really understands what you feel,
Who always seems to be there
to help you cope and deal?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who you wish lived next door,
To just have a cup of coffee
or maybe do something more?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who makes you feel so good,
A part of them grows deep in your heart
as you knew they would?
I feel so very blessed, for
I have these friends you see...
Who will always reside within my heart
where ever they may be.
Without these special people
I don't know where I'd be,
For they have shown me how to love
to make a better me.
The Pain

Where do I begin, how do I explain?
Why do I fell so alone with this pain?
Why do my words seem to go unheard?
Your eyes say it all, without speaking a word.
You ask what I want from you, to which I reply,
To be in your heart, to feel your love and not cry.
You tell my you're afraid to let me in your heart
You call what you feel for me love, why am I torn apart?
For so many years I've tried to see what you say you feel
But actions speak louder that words - this is real.
The secrets you keep in your heart and your head
Make me believe what I've already said.
I can't make you feel something that's not in your heart
You say you're love grows for me, why can't I feel it start?
I've tried to tell you, I've tried so hard to explain
You don't hear my words, you dont see my pain.
I know you can love, I've seen you do it before
It's what I need from you, before my love walks out the door.
I'm tired of trying to tell you exactly what I need
You can't plant love, it can't grow if there is no seed.
Your heart is a garden you must care for and weed
The flowers of love in your heart is what I need.
I'm not sure what you think when you look at me,
Your actions are telling me you want to be free.
It's the little things you do that push me away
Holding me at a distance is where you want me to stay.
I need to feel your love in my soul and in my heart
If its really not there, I can't ask you to start.
I'm tired of crying, I can't think straight anymore
The pain that I feel hurts deep to my core.
The tears that I've shed, have they all been in vain?
Why can't you see any of my pain?
My words go unheard, maybe this will explain
What I need in my heart,is to feel love again.
Why can't you open your heart and let me in?
Have I done something to you, committed a sin?
Please try to explain what you're feeling inside.
Open up and talk to me, I'm here by your side.
Maybe together, we can help each other see
The pain that we feel inside you and me.

Only in my dreams, have I
dared to let you know,
The feeling that reside in me
and how they still do grow.
Only in my dreams, do
you understand what I feel,
You give back to me the feelings
I need to know are real.
Only in my dreams have I
ever touched your loving face,
Gazed deep into your eyes and felt
your warm and gentle embrace.
Only in my dreams have you dared
to utter words so true,
Words so full of meaning, the
passion flows from you.
Only in my dreams have I
ever dared to trust
To hear you say "I love you so"
and believe these words I must.
Only in my dreams is my
heart left unattended
For in real life, my scars
and wounds will never be mended.
So for now, until I believe
your words to be true to me,
Forever, now and always,
Only in my dreams will you be.
