Forgetting that this is a film about a film, which now seems cheesy, It’s basically about Heather Langenkamp, who keeps dreaming about Freddy, and getting disturbing mail / phone calls. Most of the story centres around this, and her young child, who is being influenced by Freddy, who lives at the bottom of the child’s bed. Although it has a ‘crazy’ kill count, the movie is really very good, and has most of the original actors returning (some are only in it shortly, at the funeral.). This is the first ‘serious’ Freddy film since part 2, and is welcomed by me especially, because I was getting fed up with Freddy’s crap one liners and ‘creative’ deaths. This film’s killings are all done with the claw, and are well spaced out within the interesting story, although I was not impressed with Freddy’s new look at all, including the ‘new’ glove. The best scene in the film is the bit at the start with the robotic glove - real crazy, man!. Click to find out what Robert Englund has to say on the movie.
