Haruka is the leader of the Outer Senshi. She one of my other favorite characters. She is extreamly strong and will not let anyone hurt those that she cares about. When She first comes in, in Sailor Moon S, She maskarades as a man to spy on the school that Olivia goes to. It's really cool in the Manga, because when she and Michiru first come as sailor Senshi, Haruka wears a tuxido and a mask, drawing a parallel to Bunny and Mamaru.
Also, another thing about her is that she is happy. She has the love of her life, Michiru, with her at all times, and can be as feminine or masculine as she pleases. Her and Michiru are sooooo cute together:)!
Hecate's Opinion
Haruka is an interesting character. She really is quite feminine, but sometimes uses what is apparently a glamour to appear male. Why she does this is a good question. She is very protective of Bunny, like Jupiter is, and will go up against anyone to save or protect her. Interestingly enough, she does not seem to do this for Neptune. Why? Your guess is as good as mine.
Mene's Opinion
What I find interesting about Haruka as leader of the outer senchi is she has the same basic coloring as Minako. Both of them are blondes and their auras are also varying shades of that color. That same paralell can be seen with the other soldiors. Neptune and Mercury are both of water, Pluto and Jupiter both have green about their persons and Saturn and Mars are both the most powerful and have something to do with real destruction. But now that I've gone off on that little tangent, I'd also like to add in that Uranus is the soldior of freedom and her planet is one of wind. The cross dressing thing might just be because she is the soldior of freedom, nothing ties her down!
