TALKING DRUM PRESS is a small publishing company specializing in books by and about Black, Native American and Latino people, including fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry and scholarly writings.

TALKING DRUM PRESS began in 1998 as an outgrowth of a weekly writers workshop and a monthly presentation of spoken-word and jazz called THE TALKING DRUM as well as the performance group that emerged from this project called The Talking Drum Poets.
