at the moment, i don't have to pay water bills, car
insurance or child support, so most of my loot goes
to entertainment. i buy way too many cds, but what
can i say, i love me some music. as you read my
thoughts on different artists and thier new album,
realize that everyone has a right to thier own opinion.
so don't be sending me hate mail cuz i bash *nstank,
whoops (i slipped) i meant *nsync. awww yeah hhhhahhahhhhhaaaaa! hahahahhahahhahhahHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! THIS JUST PROVES HOW LONG AGO THIS WAS. IT SAYS I DON'T HAVE ANY BILLS TO PAY. NO CAR INSURANCE? YAH RIGHT!
pure booty, i wouldn't waste dinero.
it's aight, but you might as well tape it from the radio
this is good stuff
quality music, i wish i could sing like that
run, get your copy now! don't waste time reading the rest of this sente. . .
the deal:
hahahhahahhahhahha! WHO TALKS LIKE THIS? I GUESS I DO. THIS MESS IS HILARIOUS. I NEEDED TO GET OUT MORE, YA? hahhahha. MY FAVORITE QUOTE FROM THIS PAGE IS: SWEET ENDING TO A SWEET ALBUM. I SAID SWEET! I BLAME MELISSA FROM BACK AT UMASS. i can remember way back in feburary, when the backstreet
boys announced their creation of a new album. at the very second,
one phrase came into mind: awww yeah! they went into hiding for
the next 2 1/2 months, while their fans anxiously awaited an interview,
a glimpse, a simple fart from the boys. the hype was slowly building until
that wonderful month of may rolled around. backstreet was back again,
and they blew up the scene. the silence was over and nick, aj, kev, brian and howie
had proved it to the world that their music was the real deal.
the release date of millennium, may 18th, brought the boys to
platnium status.
during those months of laying low, i blasted their first 2 albums religously (like the
freak that i am). but i needed a new sound -- and that's exactly what
i got. my boys didn't let me dowm with millennium, i only wish it was longer that 12 tracks.
i want it that way finally hit the radio (back in april), and i can't get enough.
they've already played it out, but it remains #1 on TRL (MTV).
"show me the meaning", "back to your heart" and "it's gotta be you"
have got to be my favorites.
and for all those who doubted them -- I TOLD YOU SO!
the tracks:
1. larger than life
- all you people, can't you see? can't you see? how these
folks have affected my reality? i mean, i'm living in a fantasy world.
i am sure of my life that i will meet them, i don't doubt it, do you?
2. i want it that way
- tell me why? does aj have to look so good? tell me why? does
kevin have to make me cry? tell me why, i've always wanted them to say,
karin: we want it that way.
3. show me the meaning
- oh my freakin' goodness! i love this song -- the instrumentals
are sweet.
4. it's gotta be you
5. i need you tonight (a.k.a. i see heaven in your eyes)
- nick -- i need you right now, cuz i know deep within my heart,
it doesn't matter if it's wrong (which it's not) or right.
6. don't want you back
- this totally contradicts track #5.
7. don't want to lose you now
- this song contradicts #6, but that's no problem, i like the bridge:
don't want to lose to lonliness, girl i know we can win. don't want
to lose to emptiness, oh no. . .never again.
8. the one
- i had downloaded this off the internet, back in the day. it was my first
look at millennium.
9. back to your heart
- i love this song! freakin' nice job, kevin. the piano (keyboard)
pulls the whole song together.
10. spanish eyes
- ricky martin has got the same title on his album -- but different song.
i like 'em both, and give them 1st prize.
11. no one else comes close
- this is another favorite of mine. it's in a tie with back to your
heart for the top spot. who should win?
12. perfect fan
- the song dedicated to me.
the rating:
, duh!
the deal:
i was at school. it was grammy night (or was it the MTV awards?).
the backstreet boys were up for best new artist and something else.
they lost, but that's cool, it's all a hype. no matter, i think that was the night that i first
saw mr. ricky martin. he blew up the stage with "the cup of life." needless to say, i went out an got his english album in may. ricky's status in
the u.s. exploded, and opened the doors for other latin artists. amen.
the tracks:
1. por arriba, por abajo
- este cancion tiene un "beat" bueno. quiero que bailar contigo!
2. vuelve
- this song is pretty. "que falta el aire si tu no estas. . .nadie ocupara tu lugar. . ." translation: it's my fault you're not
here. . .nobody can take your place.
3. lola, lola
- esta es mi "jam". encanto "lola, lola". mi linea favorita: "tus besos mitad mentira,
mitad verdad saben a manzana del paraiso de adan."
4. casi un bolero
- awww yeah, ricky. "casi un bolero, ay yay yay yay." (listen to it, you'll know what i mean)
5. corazonado
- me gusta la musica aqui. "corazonado delante de tu cuerpo
yo me rompia sintiendome bendicido por tu amor."
6. la bomba
- just to let you know, i blast this song all the time and bust out dancing. "cosa linda, cosa mona, sube, sube que la bomba va!"
7. hagamos el amor
- senor martin, you can have my love anytime you want.
8. la copa de la vida
- this version is so much better that the one that is on his
english album and on the radio. "para sobrevivir y luchar por ella." (say that 10x fast)
9. perdido sin ti
- this song grew on me. it's got a smoothness to it (as you can see
i've given up on trying out my spanish)
10. asi es la vida
- play "la copa de la vida" otra vez. mad fast line: "se desgrarra
nuestra historia pasada por otro historio que se queda en nada"
you'll chuckle. (i promise)
11. marcia baila
- i'd say that this track gets the most play in my cd player.
12. no importancia distancia
- did y'all now that ricky did hercule's voice in disney's
spanish version of the movie?
13. gracias por pensar en mi
- thanks for believing in me. sweet finish to a sweet album.
the rating:
, honestly, i enjoy every song. you know how some albums have just some songs you play? well, i like every one, ricky. gracias.
OK people, last night [6/21/00] i saw ricky martin LIVE for his first boston appearance at the fleetcenter. we were 6th row on the side of the stage...
and he blew us away. i wouldn't say ricky is better than the backstreet boys, but his show was so entertaining musically,
and visually. i was simply in awe of the entire set-up and how that boy moves! DAMN RICKY! F*CKING BEST SHOW
I'VE EVER SEEN! MARIA MARIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shit was tight! i want to see him again tonight...it was sooooo good.
i don't know how else i can convince you. and yo, the trumpet was mad good. so were the dancers. and they played ALL my shit.
vuelve, marcia baila, la bomba, maria, la copa de vida, livin la vida loca and my personal favorite: por arriba, por abajo!! cosa linda, cosa mona, sube, sube que la bomba va! ah ah ah ah ah! WOW, KARIN. GET SOME HELP.
