![]() Losing track ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I’m not sure how it’s possible but I totally lost track of the day. I didn’t have anything scheduled to do, and the day sort of vanished without my realizing it. I had intended to sleep in this morning – nine o’clock was my goal. However, I set that goal without taking the cat into consideration. He was determined that I get up at seven. Now, we already know that I have an abnormal cat, so he doesn’t do anything as mundane as meow loudly to awaken me. Not he. His trick is to hop up on the bed near the pillow, place one paw on my forehead, grad a chunk of my hair in his teeth and yank. So I just yell at him and tell him to leave me alone, turn over and try to resume sleeping. He, however, will not be dissuaded and continues this little prodding routine. I try not to get up, because that encourages him to do this another day, but eventually I do get out of bed. I try to wait at least a half hour. But of course, that kills any sleeping late.
![]() I really can’t account for what I did today. I wasted a ton of time playing on the computer. You’d think that a week sitting at a computer terminal would have made me want to avoid computing this weekend, but no. I needed to deal with e-mail and to check out sites people have been talking about. Eventually I did go out and wander through the warehouse store that I joined. I don’t need anything, but I find that store entertaining. I didn’t get anything at all interesting, just light bulbs and fruit.
![]() I also spent a lot of time watching HGTV. I seem to be hooked on any show that has to do with crafts, home décor or tips. About the only thing I don’t bother with are the sewing shows. I used to do a lot of sewing, and I even own three sewing machines, but I can’t remember the last time I attempted to make anything. I have it in the back of my mind that I’d like to make a quilt. I’ve got a hankering for a red white and blue quilt, and I’ve been collecting small amounts of fabric when I see it. The thing is that I have no idea when I’d ever get around to making it. It’s kind of strange that I want a red white and blue quilt, as I don’t have that as a color scheme anywhere in my apartment. I did make a log cabin quilt in light blue tones about fifteen years ago. It’s not very good, but I use it all the time. I think I’ll check the internet for quilting sites to see if I get any ideas. See, that’s my problem. I spend all my time researching and checking the how-to’s but never get around to the doing. I’ll be surprised if I get that to change in the next month. ![]() Listening to: Songs from New York Reading: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Weather: 78, overcast, humid Trivia: When did the first car accident happen?
