Another migraine

I woke up at 4:30 this morning with a migraine. Full blown and very painful. I hate it when they wake me up and take me by surprise. It’s unusual for that to happen, but when it does it’s nearly impossible to get rid of it.

I took an allergy pill and three Advil, but to no effect. I was never really able to go back to sleep because of the pain. Usually sleep helps it to go away, but for some reason it wasn’t working today.

I took two Excedrin Migraine tablets at 8:30, and they sort of helped to take the edge off, but I still have the headache.

It’s been a whole day of a headache.

I did try getting some of my organizing done, but I didn’t get too far. I’d start pulling something apart, but too much movement would make my head pound.

So now instead of things being more or less tucked to the side of the room, everything is now in the middle of the room.

This is not the kind of progress I had in mind.

I did go to rehearsal tonight because of our performance in Boston this Sunday. I knew that we needed to rehearse some of the songs that we’ll do and I needed to get the instructions for what costume to wear and what time we needed to be there. I just hope it’s cooler than it was when we were there last year.

It’s usually a fun performance and I like the publicity it gives the chorus.

It looks as if we have about eight new people who are interested in joining. This is a good thing. We need to get our numbers back up again. I liked it when we had about 100 members. Great sound and sense of power!

So now it’s midnight, the headache is still lingering. This is not a good thing, as it means that I’ll still have remnants of it tomorrow.
