2001 New England Regional RKMC Dutch Treat Weekend on Cape Cod is hosted by RKMC Ma-VIII and it takes place on the weekend of May 4 - 6, 2001. This is an annual event and is very well attended by our fellow RKMC chapters from all over New England. Last year RKMC chapters from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine participated in the ride. It also included a "Blessing of the Bikes" attended by thousands of bikers from the Cape area and beyond. More info will be forthcoming. I have a message in to the organizers and I expect to be hearing from them

The other ride is the Americade in the Lake George, NY area. The Red Knights has a large presence in this event and we need to start planning this as soon as possible. Americade organizers are anticipating 50,000 bikers in attendance. It takes place the week of June 4 - 10, 2001. Reservations are very hard to come by, so we have to make them right away. (See Secretary's report for info on accommodations.)

There was a Christmas party, but I was unable to attend due to my school schedule. But I have heard from a few people, that is was a pretty good time. At the last meeting, there were quite a few subjects brought up that need to be addressed.
First, there are four (4) classifications of membership.
Active, Associate, Social and Retired
ACTIVE: Shall be at least eighteen (18) years of age, available to Active and Retired firefighting personnel presently owning or having access to a motorcycle AND hold a valid motorcycle license.

ASSOCIATE: Shall be offered to a person who has been proposed, in writing, for such membership and accepted by at least seven (7) Active members of the club in good standing and in the opinion of a majority of the Executive Board, has substantially contributed to the promotion of the Red Knights, for a minimal period of six (6) months. Final approval shall be by a majority vote of the Chapter Membership.
Associate membership shall not exceed ten (10) percent of Active Membership.
SOCIAL: Shall be the significant other of Active members.
