Jesus said to

Matthew 28:
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you:
The Apostles baptized in the name of Jesus Christ?

Jesus said what did he speak on His own when he gave the instructions.

John 17:8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

Let us try to harmonize Scripture, or there is a contradiction, and the Word of God has an error.

This verse of Scripture states to baptize them in the name (singular) and the wording name (not names) of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost so there must be one name that would fit.

The reason I say this Father is a title, Son is a title, Holy Ghost is a title. I can be a father, and a son, and a husband, and a man, and a Christian, but my name is still Max. A title say what you are and a name says who you are. I am a father and I have a checking account in a bank, do I sign it father or Max, of course Max, because that is my name. We will study and see why the Apostles baptized in the name of Jesus or did they make a mistake.

This the secret that was kept since 325 AD which is hidden by Tradition.

Tradition says to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, Lets start out easy we know the name of the son, What is the name of the Son ? This is easy.

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

The Apostles always baptized in this name, according to the Book of Acts.

What is the name of the Father? Jesus said He came:

John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Jesus inherited His name so he has his Fathers name.

Hebrews 1:4 ¶ Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

The name of Jesus means Jehovah Salvation, so the Fathers name is also Jehovah Salvation. So the Father's name is Jesus because if I had a Son and gave him my name he would be called Max., There is no record that can be found that any one baptized in the name of the titles in the first century, if you can find it please let me know where.

Jesus name according to the Greek Lexicon

2424 Ihsouv Iesous ee-ay-sooce'of Hebrew origin 03091 ewvy; TDNT-3:284,360; n pr m
AV-Jesus 972, Jesus (Joshua) 2, Jesus (Justus) 1; 975
Jesus =" Jehovah is salvation"

That leaves the Holy Ghost, that is simple, Jesus Said.

John 4:
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

What is my name? Jesus speaking. Jesus came in his Father's name the Holy Ghost came in Jesus' name so the name of the Holy Ghost is Jesus.

  Who is Jesus' Father?

Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Luke 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

According to this Jesus' Father is the Holy Ghost: or Jesus has two fathers! You will notice that is says that the Son born to you shall be called the son of God not is the Son of God. And that contradicts the Bible. We have one Father, like Jesus only has one Father.

Malachi 2:10 ¶ Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
John 8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

Either that is true or there is an error in the Bible. I did not exhaust the Scriptures and if you got this far you must know that there is POWER in the NAME OF JESUS, or Emmanuel (God with us)

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Jesus speaking of the Holy Ghost the Spirit of truth .....he dwellet with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless

John 14:
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 ¶ I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

The Greek word translated comfortless is

3737 orfanov orphanos or-fan-os' of uncertain affinity; TDNT-5:487,734; adj
AV-comfortless 1, fatherless 1; 2
1) bereft (of a father, of parents)
1a) of those bereft of a teacher, guide, guardian
1b) orphaned

I will not leave you fatherless of orphaned, that makes Jesus speaking as the Father. What may people don't realize is that Jesus sometimes speaks as the Son, he says my Father and your Father, ( remember his father the one who conceived him is the Holy Ghost, who is my God and your God.

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

And other times He speaks as the Father, I will not leave you comfortless I will come to you. You see it many times in Scripture, where prophets are speaking in the second person (he) and then speak in the first person (I or Me), when Jesus does it, it confuses people, Jesus is God manifest in the Flesh, God the Father is tabernacling in him, the one name that fits all three titles or manifestations of the One God is Jesus.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Greek word for dwelt is

4637 skhnow skenoo skay-no'-o from 4636; TDNT-7:385,1040; v AV-dwell 5; 5
1) to fix one's tabernacle, have one's tabernacle, abide (or live) in a tabernacle (or tent), tabernacle
2) to dwell

God the Father Dwelt (tabernacled) in the Son of God.

Jesus said that

Matthew 12:6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

Yes Jesus is greater than the Temple he is the temple made without hands. How can the God that the heaven of heavens cannot contain dwell in a temple, we will cover this later.

Hebrews 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

Not only is Jesus a high priest he is also the Tabernacle

The Bible speaks of two gates on narrow and the other wide, we all have a choice which one we want to go through, If you are not still convinced take the road to (1) Debate or take the (2)Road to be saved.

(1) Debate, Who is God According to the Bible?

(2) Do you really want to be saved?
