Walking the Red Road .. My Family

My family life started out with the most understanding mother and friend anyone could ask for. If it was not for her I would not have ever found my true path in life. I can not thank her enough or tell her how much she is appreciated.

Then my 14 year old son came into my life. I was a single mom and life was a little hard for us but we made due. He is my easy going guy that's laid back and not to many cares in the would. He has the most loving and caring heart. But our lives were just not complete yet.

That is when my husband of 12 yrs. came into our lives. He is also an Indian and has so many special gifts. He is a horseshoer by trade and from what I have been told one of the best that's around this area. He makes beautiful ceremonial pipes, of course none for sale. But he does make pipes that would fit into your home for display. He also makes beautiful wood chests and clocks knifes and sheaths all Native American or in the 1800's style.

And at this time he also brought into our lives 3 beautiful girls who I have become very close to. The oldest lived with us on and off for 2 yrs. but now they all still live at home with there mom. But as we say in this house there are no steps here. Those girls are just like my own and I love them with all my heart. I am here for them in whatever they may need.

Last but surely not least, came the littlest of the family 3 yrs. ago. We call her the Bear! Her name is Kodiak and she is my little bear that roars with all she does. Look out world cause this ones gonna make her mark.

And I have to mention my extended family..my spiritual family. All of you here on the net that I pray with and all of the ones that are with me during ceremony. My very special sister Nita that I love with all my heart. Who keeps me laughing even though I wanna cry! Grandmother Nancy who has been there for me in so many ways.. Thank you for all the teachings you have given to me and the ones I still have to come.
I also must say that I have been very blessed with a wonderful family of my grandmother, aunts, cousins, sister and a father who took me in when I didn't have one. You all mean so very much to me! All I can say is thank you Creator for all of the people in my life!

And a very special thanks to my twin sister for making my pages, feeling my pains even when she didn't want to. And the best aunt to the Bear that she could ever have. Love ya Sis.. May we always stand tall and proud in all we do.
