Last night I got to thinking
(Some time after I stopped drinking)
About the things in life
That matter just to me
About my inspiration,
And the laughter, in relation
To a certain guy
Who always makes me smile
With these words to capture
The feeling that I get after
Watching genius
At work so easily
To break from this world around us
And let the joy surround us
Even if it's only for
A little while
But I guess I'm always dreaming
Though it's nice to have some meaning
To help me through this thing
That we call life
