Beirut Beer Pong FAQ's Table of Contents
What do I need to play?Of course, you will need lots of beer. You will need two teams. These teams could be either one man teams, two man teams, or one on two. You will need 14 plastic cups and two ping pong balls. And, you need a table. Without the table its like playing Jump Rope without rope. The table needs to be a good size, lengthwise. Back to TopHow do you set up for play? Each side of the table or team gets 7 of the plastic cups. Six of these cups will be placed in a pyramid shape. Three cups in the back row, two in the middle, and one in front. These six cups will need to be filled with beer. However, do not fill them up to the top. I usually put 3-4 ozs in each cup. The seventh cup needs to be filled with water. The water cup is used for washing of the balls after they landed on the floor or just because you like to get your balls wet. It makes this game a little more sanitary. Back to TopHow do you play Beirut? After you have the cups in formation and filled, you are ready to play. One team gets both balls to start the game. I'm sure you can decide who will go first. A beer chug race is always a good way to decide. The object of this game is to get the ping pong balls into your opponents cups. You can either bounce or straight toss the ball, that is up to you and the size of the table. If a player makes the ball in the cup, the opposing team has to drink the cup and remove it from play. If a team is able to make both balls in on one turn, they get both balls back and shoot again. The first one to eliminate all of their opponents cups wins. The losing team, also, has to drink what ever cups they were unable to eliminate from the other team. Back to TopWho gets the most drunk?Well, if there is only two teams playing. The losing team definetly drinks more and gets wasted. However, if this game is played at a party with numerous teams, the winners get loaded. The winners are able to stay on the table and take on the next team and the next and the next. If a team gets on a roll, they can easily consume 10 beers in half an hour. Back to Top
