What is Boat Races?

Boat Races is a team relay race. You can have as many teams as you wish to compete. I like to play with two teams and four people on each side. Three also works very well. It is a simple to understand game, but passing the baton, so to say, is difficult at times.

How do I set up for Boat Races?

Each team should take a side of a table. They will line up in a line going down the table. Each member will have a cup of beer in front of them. Pretty simple.

How do you play Boat Races?

Once both sides are set up and have their beers ready, so is the game. The game is just like a relay race in track and field. One person will start and when they are finished the next person starts, and so on. However, this is just not a chug race. After you have finished the beer, you must place the cup upside down on the table, with it sticking over the edge of the table. Once the cup is upside down, use your fingers to try to flip the cup to the normal cup  position. After the cup is right side up, the next team mate starts drinking. The winner is, of course, the team that flips over all of their cups.
