1. Decode compressed files to uncompressed waves

Table of contents:

How To:

1. Start Foobar2000
2. Foobar2000 -> Playlist ->Add directory with your High Quality album, which consists of compressed files, e.g. *.mpc or Lossless formats like *.flac , *.wv etc.
3. Mark all tracks (e.g. by Foobar2000 -> Playlist -> Selection -> Select all or by mouse-click on last track and then pressing Shift - Arrow up at same time)

Configuration of Decoding settings:

4. Mouse right click -> convert -> settings 5. The Diskwriter settings window opens:

5.1 Specify an output directory.
5.2 Select from dropdown list of Output presets : WAV (PCM, fixed point)
5.3 Copy & Paste following line into Output file name formatting:
$num(%_diskwriter_index%)%_filename%
or way better alternative:
%_directoryname%\%_filename%
5.4 Uncheck 'Use DSP'
5.5 Uncheck (or check:) 'Use replaygain'
The usage of replaygain depends on your goal and source files.
Source:
MPC: good idea to enable replaygain mode (select mode in 'Playback' tab of foobar's preferences),
e.g. track gain, if every track should sound with same averaged volume (e.g. for compilations), or
album gain, if you want to keep relative volume differences between different songs on an album, or
replaygain mode disabled, but activated clipping protection, which keeps relative volume differences, too, but stays at original volumes as near as possible.
Lossless: You should uncheck 'Use replaygain' for a lossless source, if you want to be as close to the original volumes as possible. Especially for creating a (5.1) DTS CD-Audio or HDCD from a lossless archive backup, you must disable replaygain in any case !
(5.6 Check setting 'Encoder requires accurate length', if this setting is offered (not in older foobar versions))
5.7 Press 'Close'

6. Mouse right click -> Convert -> Run conversion
You can follow the progress:

Opposite to this picture with 'Transcoding' example flac -> mpc, the file name would be destination: '01 - Dancing Queen.wav'

After you have got the uncompressed wave files, you continue with writing these waves to CD-R.
This guide continues with chapter 2, here, describing the common burning program Nero, as example.
