Welcome to Wolf Creek's Youngstock Barn!!
This is where we keep our youngsters at. These horses have "graduated" from being a weanling to a yearling so we move them to this barn. This is where all the basics start. There is a small arena attached to the youngster barn and we work with them. Teaching them to lounge, and halter. We also house our two year olds here to. But we have two indoor roundpens that are attacted to it also. Because at about 18 months to the age of two years old we start them under saddle. And the roundpen is the perfect place to work with them.
These youngsters are the creations of our broodmares. But we also have purchased young horses and here is where they are. They move to either the mare or stallion barn when they reach three years of age. We don't have any geldings and they are usually kept in with the stallions as a calming point. But at this time we have none. But most of our geldings are sold to wonderful non-pro riders or a professional who wants a nice good show mount. But these youngsters are what help give our stallions and mares their names and help promote Wolf Creek's business. So please do check them out!
