Pictured is my second oldest daughter, Kayla. She had been handling my show dogs since she was 8 years old. When Chico was 5 months old he came to live with us & Kayla claimed Chico as her show dog at that time. She did all the training, grooming, and showing of Chico. Kayla was 11 years old in this picture, the day she finished Chico's championship with a Group 4th. Kayla and Chico were a winning team. They also won 1 BPIG, Group 3rd at the Dr.Ballard Specialty, 6 BOB, 1 BW and 1 WD. In the Junior Handling ring, Kayla and Chico moved from Junior Novice up to Junior Open in 4 straight wins. Also this year, 1997, Kayla competed in the Provincal Finals, and won Best Junior Novice of the Year. All this in very limited showing. Chico is now retired and enjoying life in his retirement home, but you will see him in my main working lines today.
