kg at yahoo

The Kaydet Girls club at Yahoo! was founded in July of 1999, and is now a '297 member strong' gathering of Kaydet Girls and Philippine Military Academy enthusiasts. We are inviting all of you to join us and partake in the friendship that we have built by sharing the spirit of courage, loyalty and integrity.

The bind that has kept all the members together is rooted in knowing that someone out there understands you. A military relationship, be it platonic, romantic or blood related, entails more than maturity, patience, strength and humility. You need someone to talk to, gripe to and draw unwavering faith to carry on when troubled times come your way. Someone who can shed light to the why's and how's. Someone who will pat your shoulder and tell you, 'I've been there, hang on.. you're in for a wild ride of your life :o)'

tita tina in manila!

17 Mar 02 @ Superbowl Megastrip
This is what happens when Kgs get together...

The welcome eyeball for Tita Tina was set on a Sunday afternoon (17 March) at Superbowl in the ever reliable SM Megastrip.

Pero Saturday palang may pumunta na...si Case! :o)

Ganyan kami ka-excited ma-meet si Tita Tina. She's one of the new members who came all the way from Canada and took time to meet up with the Kg's.

Tita Tina's request was a chinese restaurant, hence Superbowl. James and I got there early since it usually takes quite a while to get a table there, the place is famous for long waiting lines. Good chinese food kasi (without msg!) and reasonably priced pa.
First to arrive was Case (light 6ngel), ang ever present member sa mga eyeballs. We easily recognized Tita Tina (adrianochristina) when she walked in, from her pictures posted in the club. Meeting Kg members up front is always a nice feeling, especially Tita Tina who knew of the club while in Canada.

After all these years, we have finally found a way to gather together all those who hold PMA dear to their hearts in one way or another. Then after all the messages posted in the club, chat sessions and exchange of e-mails, you finally have a chance to meet and a chance to recognize the friendship through these eyeballs. I love this club! :o)

Thanks Katz for the pictures!
Lynn (racastro_05) arrived next. Trivia nga pala, we were classmates from prep till high school! Then I finally met Janice (wookiehookie), Katz (itbudph) and Charlotte. We feasted on various Chinese dimsum, Seafood Pancit Canton and that really great Mango Pudding that Lynn suggested. Yummmm.

In between bites, we talked about the joys and pains of being a military wife, the transition each Kaydet Girl endures when her cadet graduates and goes off on a mission as a cavalier, as well as advices on moving on after a break-up. This is why we come together...to share our own experiences so that others may learn and pick-up an insight or two.
The eyeball started at 1500H but it was already a little after 1900H when we stood up from our table. Siyempre pati manager ata nautusan namin to take pictures! We also met Tita Tina's son. Maybe someday siya naman ang bibisitahin at dadalan natin ng boodles sa academy. So till our next eb...hope to meet more of you guys out there. Kg or no kg, as long as you want good conversation (with good food), sali na kayo!

our eb last nyt...

Subject: our eb last nyt

i just want to share our eb moments last nyt. just one of the best. i learned a lot. it's different pala when you've got moms as company. masarap makinig on how is it to be a mother.

so after we found each other, we went to the all-time favorite "trellis resto" ng mga nag-e-eb sa camp A. i have in tow (as if ako ung nanay nila) the cute young mom Lynn, with her equally cute Nathan, as well as another mother of an 8-month old son who just joined the club recently, Melai (anyway she's Lynn's mistah), and Puff, a certified KG. i enjoyed every moment with them because this one's entirely different. alam nyo na, hanging out with two moms and a kg who's bf is still a cadet. nakakatuwa. kaya lang ako ang pinaka-senior at pinakamatanda! (sus! ate ping, ate ana, lean_pale at Ms. Armi, asan kayo? damayan nyo ako, hahaha!)

i enjoyed hearing their stories about how they met, their weddings, their pregnancy days, the laboring moments, and raising thier kids. the most important of all is how they endure everyday of their lives without their husband around, seeing their child's developments with only their parents to share with the joy. i knew how hard it is for them, and yet they remain so strong. i admire the two ladies, really.

i even asked myself if i could do the same thing. i still don't know yet.

so Lynn and Melai thanks a lot to you. i learned so much. hope there will more ebs like that one. it was very enlightening. keep strong girls. and take care of the boys. they are darlings.

and puff, thanks too. goodluck to you and your cadet. wish to see you again soon.

and ate ping, sorry di ko na nareply ung text mo, ala me load eh. masaya eb namin, grabe.

good day.
