Some Canadian Geese stay year round at Assateague. This shot was taken in early Spring at Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge in Virginia. The birds are as graceful in sleep as they are in flight - just look at those long necks all curled up with their heads tucked under their wings. You can see a 800x600 image here. |
