CSX CUMBERLAND SUB Weaverton

Weaverton 92k Weaverton  is a favorite of mine because of the easy access and there is a visible signal for eastbounders. It is an access point of the C & O Canal too. You can easily park 20 cars there. We stopped around 7PM Sat. 08/25/01 on our way home from Harper's Ferry. Here is an east bounder headed toward Brunswick, MD.
Harpers Ferry.JPG 90k West bounder? Well, sorta, it is a set of four units running light. Weaverton is where the Cumberland Sub meets the Metropolitan Sub. The auto racks are heading into the Metropolitan Sub.
Harpers Ferry.JPG 74k A westbounder with an X-CR SD60 and and FURX on the head end. To the left is RT. 340. This spot is actually at Keep Tryst Road. If you are going west (south) on 340 you have to pass it an make a U'ie or get off at the next exit (Boonsboro) and get back on headed east (north).
