King's Gap State Park is located near Pine Grove Furnace and north of
Caledonia. It can be reached off PA Rt. 233 either from Rt. 30 or I81.
There is no camping but 16 miles of nice hiking trails.

Fall is the best time of year in the East, in my opinion and Pennsylvania
certainly is a great example of that. This hike was around October 14, 2000.

Stream This stream runs through areas of the park adding to it's interest.

Ridge Overlook Trail is strewn with large rocks which adds interest and
variety
to the area.

The view from Ridge Overlook Trail is pretty nice for the East coast.

This cabin is located on Whispering Pines Trail. The cabin is circa 1850
and was moved to this spot. This is a nice flat
trail for anyone. It has stops that describe different techniques for forest
management.
