Well, Pez is a candy that comes in a little brick form and is 100% sugar, every sweet lover's dream! There are little plastic dispensers that can come with the candy and when you tilt their head back, the candy pops out of its neck! Pretty weird idea, huh?

Well the original intent of Pez was to stop smoking. That is because the original dispenser looked, and worked like a lighter. We Pezheads like to call those types of dispensers regulars. Plus, the peppermint candy was also supposed to stop the craving of smoking.
Where did the name PEZ come from?
The name PEZ came from the German word pefferminz meaning peppermint. The took the first, middle, and last letter of the word to create PEZ (pefferminz).
Is it true that eBay came from PEZ?
Yes, it's true! This guy's girlfriend wanted to get rid of some dispensers, so he decided to start an auction site. Pretty cool, huh?
