Bronze Star Medal for PFC FLANNERY

Pfc Francis J. Flannery, of 4016 Hillen rd, has been
awarded the Bronze Star medal for his achievements in action against the enemy
in Dockingern, Germany, it was learned today.
Flannery, who is 27 years old, won the medal for heroic
action under heavy fire. He was married in July 1944 to the former Miss
Mary V. Tibbels. One month later he was inducted. He is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Flannery of Philadelphia.
