NAME OF BAND: Minus-One
Minus-One is a three-piece rock band from Waldorf, MD with a sound that may remind you of other bands such as Blink 182, Chevelle, and Silverchair. Mix them together and you have a band with catchy hooks and a chorus you will remember and hum whether you want to or not.
Minus-One has toured up and down the East Coast. They have performed on a syndicated radio show entitled “The Sports Junkies”, and have also performed live on two radio stations in Delaware, (93.5 “ The Beach” and 95.9 “96 Rock”). They continue to make frequent visits to Delaware to appear on “96 Rock.” They also get frequent airplay on the XM Radio station "Unsigned." The band has also appeared live on local T.V. Station WNVT Channel 53 on a show called “Megahertz.” This show spotlights unsigned artists throughout the U.S. and gives them great exposure.

NAME OF GROUP: RockFish
RockFish, an eclectic mix of musical styles that plays hard and travels light...Once you've heard RockFish you'll be hooked!
"...If toe-tapping and knee-slapping were any indicators of good music, then Calvert County's "RockFish" are well on their way to fame beyond county lines. Their music is an eclectic mix of folk, bluegrass, rock, and blues, and tempts the listener to hum along and tap with alot of energy."

NAME OF BAND: Nanjemoy Creek Boys
The Nanjemoy Creek Boys are an all-original four piece band from La Plata, MD, formed in 1997. The NCB sound is a product of each member's technical proficiency and influences, that collaboratively creates a unique style of synergetic jamming. A typical NCB set is characterized by the segue of its original, written out material into an all-out trail blazing jam that navigates through many flavors of well-learned styles which include rock, jazz, funk, jam, blues, polka, reggae, ambient and electronica. While it's safe to say that NCB could hold their own as a band strictly performing any one of these genres, their combination of these elements provides for a unique, organic sound that defies classification.

NAME OF BAND: Crank
That point is driven home when it comes to the offerings on this album. "Creep", "Zero", "Simple", and "Gunpowder and Incense" make major noise on the record. Then, without warning, compositions such as "Embrace", "Pantomime", and "Pressure" finish off the recording with smooth precision and aplumb.
It is no wonder, then, that I can count Crank's "Devoid" as one of my favorite entires onto the Mid Atlantic music scene in the past few years. No question about it! Enough said

NAME OF BAND: Urban Sombrero
21 tracks of melodic punk/rock released August 2002.
Take cock-rock solos, combine that with raging guitar riffs, complex basslines, fast pounding drums and catchy vocal lines. What do you get? Probably Whitesnake, but Urban Sombrero begs to differ. "The Worst is Yet to Come...", a sarcastic salute to the band's neverending self-depreciation, is a 21-track attack on the world of music. With songs ranging throughout the punk genre, this band will not stand still...and rightfully so. With so many bands fitting nicely into a perfect subgenre, they would rather toggle between them all. Whether it be the upbeat melodic punk stylings of "Pessimism (My New Religion)", the ska offerings of "Only Rand McNally Knows", or the angry skate punk sounds of "Best Friend", the band likes to keep people on their toes. The '50s pop-punk styled, "My Girlfriend Sucks"
should have you singing along in no time, with it's various "oohs" and "doo-wops". Pick up your copy of "The Worst is Yet to Come...", today!

NAME OF BAND: Lennex
A storm is brewing in the mid-Atlantic that has folks in the resort town of Ocean City in a frenzy. But no one is seeking refuge. They all want to witness firsthand the incredible squall of sound and style that has been pummeling these shores since 1997: A perfect storm known as Lennex.
Lennex is the combined energies of brothers Brian and Brandon Luckett (Guitar and Drums), their cousin Derek Boening (Guitar), Bruce Long (Bass) and Phil Ritchie (Lead Vocals and Trumpet). The best of friends, Lennex crystallized during high school jazz band practice where Bruce and the brothers met Phil "when we heard Phil sing we were blown away. The fact that he plays trumpet is just an added bonus."
Lennex - whose name carries a curious connection to the late Andy Kaufman, began developing their own brand of music: A powerful, absorbing and widely accessible vortex of hard-rocking rhythms and ethereal melodies. The band has packed many of the city's favorite bars and clubs, giving everyone in their path a delightful ass kicking. Locals are commonly heard referring to their experience at a show as being "Lennexed"... ( Click Here To Read The Rest ! )

Singer / Guitarist Pete Bulka has both a smooth vocal that can ease your mood and an aggressive yell that will keep you at attention at all times. Catchy vocal lines are what Pete is all about. You will never leave a Minus-One show without humming the songs you have just heard. Guitar sounds and riffs are no different for Pete as he is always trying to write the best songs possible. Most songs are based on real life experiences to give the audience a true feeling of what Minus-One is all about.
Drummer Clint Moore can play anything in the world. His style may remind you of Travis Barker from Blink 182, but Clint has a very original style that cannot be matched. His quick moves and clean lines will keep you entertained throughout the whole show and leave you wondering, “How did he do that?”
Bass Player Greg Ward is the quiet one in the band, at least until he is on stage. He lets his bass do all of the talking for him as he rips it up with an aggressive style and a hard-hitting sound. Greg adds the “thickness” to this huge sounding three-piece band.
Minus-One has produced and released two full-length CDs and a four song CD. The Band's first CD was “Bizz Wax”. This CD was released in the fall of 1999 and really got people talking about the band. In the fall of 2001, “Homemade” was released. This was the CD that really started taking us to new heights. Both CDs sold thousands of copies and are still selling. In October 2003, Minus-One went back in the studio to record their latest CD simply entitled “4 Song EP”. This CD would flip the music industry upside down. It has already surpassed both preceding CDs in sales and more copies are still being produced. It is a compilation of the first four songs that will go on the next highly anticipated full-length CD.
Minus-One is committed to providing new music for their fans and hope to reach new prospects that will give us a chance to prove ourselves in the music industry. The band hopes to continue the increase of our loyal following that they have started with their fans, and take their music to the next level!
