Welcome to my homepage!

My name is Rado Benc and I am a software engineer at PIT Slovakia s.r.o., a software company in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. I am responsible for design, implementation, maintenance, and user support of software produced by the company.

I wrote my first FORTRAN 77 program in 1988 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Technical University in Kosice. Then I programmed in Assembler 8080, Basic, Pascal, and some other languages. In 1993 I started to work as network administrator at the Department of Power Engineering, FEI TU Kosice. Since 1998 I do software development using Borland Delphi, C++ Builder, JBuilder, IBM VisualAge for Java, VisualAge C++ and Microsoft Visual C++. I also do some database programming in Firebird, Oracle and web applications (Java, CGI, Php) programming. I am certified ANSI SQL, Delphi, HTML programmer, and RDBMS developer.

I participate in Experts-Exchange and other discussion forums on Delphi, databases, and web programming. My nickname is bego.
