"No kidding!," Zac said, eyes wide. Isaac had just told him and Taylor about what had happened the night before. " Dang man, no wonder she freaked when I went to give her a hug!"
"Yeah, poor Terry !," Taylor said," I wonder if she'll let anyone else be her friend, too. Not just Ike"
"Yeah, me too!," Zac piped up.
"Remember, don't nag her," Isaac reminded him.
"Yeah, yeah!," Zac grumbled, "If you say that one more time I'm gonna smack you!"
Terry laid in bed for awhile, thinking about how Isaac had comforted last night. Hey, maybe she could see about being friendly with the rest off the family, too. Why not? she thought. May as well see if the younger kids are up. She always had liked little kids. She got dressed and headed downstairs. She noticed Jessica and Avery out front. She stepped through the front door and heard them singing something, though it certainly wasn't something she'd heard before. They were singing something that went like this:

And I, guess we'll never understand,
Until we reach that promised land
Hey, no time like the present to be friendly. she thought. "Um, hi guys!," Terry said aloud.
"Hi, Terry!," They both called out brightly.
"I've never heard that song before," Terry commented.
"It's called 'River'. Ike, Tay, and Zac wrote it," Jessica replied.
"They did?" Terry was impressed.
"Yeah, they have a band and call themselves Hanson," Avery added," You've never heard the of the song called 'MMMBop'?"
"You're kidding! They wrote 'MMMBop'? I love that song!,"Terry exclaimed.
"Well, then you'll be hearing it a lot," Zac said, just now coming out, " We have to practice a lot everyday, so if you wanna listen, you're welcome to."
"I think I will," Terry replied, smiling at him.
"Anyway, I was looking for you," Zac continued.
"Sure, what do you want?," She asked.
"Well, I, uh, I, wanted to ask you something," Zac stammered, " I wanted to ask, um, well..."
"Zac, spit it out," Terry said.
"Do you wanna be friends?," Zac blurted.
Terry was a little surprised, then she grinned. " I would love that."
"Hey, what about us?," Taylor yelled from where he was standing with his sisters.
" That would be great," Terry said, then, so quietly that they didn't hear her, she added," I've never had real friends before."
Two weeks later
"Hey, dude, whatcha doing? Heh heh."
Terry jumped, looked at whoever had come in, then laughed. It was just Isaac, doing one of his stupid Beavis and Butthead impressions. Terry had never been so happy as she had been with the Hansons. She hadn't realized the strain she had been under while living with her father, until it stopped. But in two weeks, she had come to know what real happiness was. She had become close friends with all, including Walker and Diana, and had been helping with the little kids a lot. She had especially become close to Isaac. It was nothing romantic, he was just a very good friend and she was able to confide in him. Today, while watching Home Improvement, her favorite show, she decided it was time to tell him about her horrible secret. If anyone could help her, he could. She knew by now that Isaac and his brothers were true friends. After the show was over, Isaac got up to leave.
"Isaac, wait, I need to talk to you, " Terry said.
He obediently sat back down. Terry was silent for a moment.
"I don't know how to say this," she finally said," The thing is, you told me I could trust you and now I need to trust you not to tell anyone, not your brothers, not your parents. I'll tell them when the time comes."
"Don't worry, I won't, as long as you promise me that you will eventually tell them."
"I will, I promise." Terry hesitated. Then she went on,"Here's the thing. You know how I told you that my father raped me?"
"Yeah. So what do you wanna tell me?," Isaac encouraged. "Just say it."
"All right. The deal is, I'm pregnant....With my fathers baby."
