" Isaac, what's this all about?," Terry asked as she tugged at her blindfold.
" Hey, don't touch that! It's a surprise," he admonished, gently swatting at her hand.
Earlier that afternoon, Isaac had called Terry up and asked her to meet him at his house later that evening. She was pleasantly surprised when he greeted her with a kiss and a rose but was astounded when he hurried her into the car and told her to put on a blind fold. All he would tell her was that he had a surprise for her.
" Okay, we're here," Isaac announced, pulling the car to a stop. " Don't take that off yet, I'll be back in a few minutes."
Terry waited, a little impatiently, as she heard Isaac pull a bag from the back seat. He rummaged around outside for a few moments, then opened her door as he helped her out.
" Okay," he said, pulling her blindfold off.
" Isaac, this is beautiful!," Terry exclaimed. She gazed around as she took in the place he had brought her to. The moon shone down exceptionally bright upon the water of the lake, which lay beside a grassy meadow. She smiled when she saw the small picnic laid out on the blanket Isaac had spread out under the tree, which sat on a hill overlooking the lake, giving a clear view of the moon and stars.
" I was hoping you might like the idea of a late-night picnic," he replied, pleased with her reaction.
" I love it, this is so romantic."
" Hey, you want to dance?" Before she could answer, he pulled a tape from his pocket and slipped it into the portable tape deck he brought. He smiled at her and held out his hands. She smiled back and walked into his arms, resting her head on his shoulder as the music began:

" I borrowed this and some other CD's from Felicia. It's a mix of love songs she helped me put together."

Terry pulled back a little as she gazed at Isaac. " You know, you really are something."
" Why do you say that?"
" I don't know, it's just…the fact that you thought of something like this in the first place. A lot of guys are more into getting layed, with no regard to emotions or the effect it might have on the girl. They wouldn't put in as much effort as this to show the girl how they care or be concerned about how they feel.
" Is that bad? That I would want to be concerned for how you feel? You're very important to me, Terry. I could never mistreat you."
She leaned in close and sighed contentedly. " You're very important to me, too. I don't know what I would do without you."

Terry lifted her head again and stared into Isaac's dark eyes. She lifted her hand and gently pushed his hair away from his face. Isaac caught her hand in his and held it close, lightly kissing the palm. She closed her eyes and leaned in, pressing her lips against his. He returned the kiss eagerly, holding her close as their bodies continued to sway to the music.
