" Hey Zac. Terry and I are taking the little kids to McDonalds. Wanna come with us?," Isaac asked Zac.
" Who's paying?," Zac asked.
" I am."
" Well,which kids?"
" Avery, Mackie, and Zoe."
" Sure, I'll go. You'll need the help. You do realize the risk of taking out an eight, five, and one year old, don't you?"
" Funny, Zac. Put these on and let's go," Isaac tossed some shoes at Zac.

" Who's bright idea was this again?," Terry asked Zac.
" I think it was someone named Isaac," he replied. They both turned to stare to stare to Isaac, who grinned sheepishly. So far, they had spent fifteen minutes in an endless line with a fussy baby and two restless kids, both of whom wanted only ice cream and soda and then wanted to play for at least an hour.
Finally, Isaac anounced," Guys, each of you will get a kidsmeal and if you have room, then you can have a kids cone. After we've eaten, we'll go to the park."
" While we wait, I'll take them to the Play Place," Zac said, lifting Zoe from her stroller.
" What about your food?," Isaac asked him.
" Hey, you know what I always get."
" Oh, you just want to get out of standing in line!," Terry accused. Zac pretended to look hurt.
" Not true. I also want to play in the ball pit!," He grinned and ran off, Avery and Mackenzie follwing close behind. Terry and Isaac laughed at his last comment. After a moment, Isaac turned to Terry.
" Are you okay? You look a little washed out," He said.
" I just had one of those nights. That's all," she replied, then stayed silent.

" Come on, Avie! Let's bury Zac under the balls!," Mackenzie cried.
" Aaagh! No, not that! Anything but that!," Zac cried in mock fearfullness as two kids begen to drop handfulls of plastic balls on him.
" Now let's tickle him!," Avery giggled. Zac was now helpless under the assult of two little kids trying to tickle his ribs.
" Hey, come on guys. Food's ready," Terry called into the ball pit.
" Aw, shuckes. We were just having fun," Zac said climbing out. Terry took one look at him and began to giggle. Zac watched her, perplexed.
" What?"
" You-your hair! It's-it's!," She couldn't finish and burst out laughing. Zac just stared at her.
" Zac, your hair is standing up and you look really funny," Mackenzie said.
" What?!" Zac ran into the bathroom and began laughing at himself. The static from the balls had caused half his hair, putting it in Mackenzies words, to stand up. He shook his head at himself, ran his hands through his hair to smooth it out and left to join the others.

" Well, how about Titanic?," Taylor asked Maddy.
" Nah, I"m sick of that movie," she replied.
" Star Wars?"
" Um, I'm not into sci-fi. How about a Disney movie?"
" Thanks, but no thanks. You have any idea how much Disney is watched around this house?"
" Good point. Wouldn't want to make you suffer. Look, here's an idea: Instead of sitting around the house watching a movie, why don't we just go out and get something to eat?"
" Sounds good to me. Just let me tell my mom and we can get out of here."

" Mackie, carefull! You're gonna spill your drink," Isaac gently told his brother.
" Sorry Iky," Mackenzie said.
" Okay Isaac, I gotta admit. This wasn't such a bad idea," Terry said.
" Only because you got free food!," Zac cracked. He received a smack on the back of his head from Terry.
" No kidding! There goes that guitar I wanted. I just spent that money on your guy's lunch," Isaac exclaimed.
" It's not like you don't have enough anyway!," Terry snorted.
" Hey, I like a variety of things," Isaac defended himself. Terry started to reply but there was a sudden shout from Mackenzie.
" My soda!," He wailed.
" Oh no! I told you not to hold it like that!," Isaac began to mop up the mess with the few napkins they had.
" I'll get more," Terry volunteered and quickly got up.
Isaac looked at his little brother who was about to cry. Isaac nelt down next to him.
" Mackie, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell. You weren't bad, you just made a mistake, that's all."
" You're not mad at me?," He sniffed.
" Course not. Now give me a big hug!," Isaac ordered.
Terry smiled from where she had been watching. She was too far away to hear what had been said but knew that Mackenzie had been upset and Isaac had calmed him down. That's so sweet, she thought, watching Isaac hold the four year old. She then noticed that the biggest slut from school, Andrea Wilson, was staring right at Isaac. Andrea was known for supposedly sleeping with half the football team and flirting with guys in front of their girlfrineds. She also a cheerleader and really popular, but Terry thought she was a major ditz. Terry shrugged. She doubted that a girl like Andrea would be interested in Isaac. She grabbed a wad of napkins, went back to the others and began to clean off Mackenzie while Isaac cleaned the table.
" But I'm still thirsty!," Mackenzie whined.
" Tell you what Mackie: If I go get a refill for you, do you promise to be more carefull with it?," Terry asked him.
" Okey-dokey Terry!," he replied, obviously in a better mood.
Since it was lunch hour, the employees were really busy and the lines were long. By the time Terry had gotten the refill, she had been in line for fifteen minutes. She turned to go back to the table but stopped short when she saw who was there. While she was gone, Andrea Wilson had joined the others. And she was majorly flirting with Isaac.
