Breaded Venison in Wine
You will need:
- 4 to 8 venison round steaks
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 T. cooking oil
- 1 onion finely diced
- 1 cup mushrooms undrained
- 1 cup red wine
Dip steaks in egg. Roll in mixture of cracker crumbs, flour, salt, and pepper. Brown steaks in oil; place in baking dish. Cover with onions, mushrooms and wine. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hrs.
