NOTE: On January 2, 2000, the Broadway production of The Scarlet Pimpernel had its final performance at the Neil Simon. It will go on a national tour, but the cast will not be the same as the recent Broadway cast. I was not able to go to NYC for the final show, both because of the expense and the fact my mom didn't want me going there the day after New Years. However, I have heard that the entire cast was excellent and put their all into that final performance, which doesn't surprise me in the least.:)

Let me just say that the current Broadway cast of The Scarlet Pimpernel (SP3) is EXCELLENT!! The leads are: Ron Bohmer as Sir Percy, Carolee Carmello as Marguerite, and Marc Kudisch as Chauvelin. I was fortunate enough to be able to go see SP3 on October 9, 1999, for my 17th birthday. I instantly fell in love with this musical, from the music to the superb acting of the entire cast, most notably from Ron Bohmer and Carolee Carmello. I had seen Ron perform a year and a half earlier in The Phantom of the Opera, and was overjoyed to be able to see my favorite musical performer once again.
