The album was first advertised
as being released in December 1998, and was pushed
back to Feb 1999, and then spring 1999. Fans awaiting
his comeback were frustrated and teased for a long
time. It was finally released in July 1999.
The SOURCE
reviewed the pre-release version of the album, and
awarded it four Mics, but that was for the album originally
scheduled for release (see table below). When the
album finally came out, it was in the altered format
(see table below), this was done to promote Short
Records' stable of rappers. Seven tracks were removed
from the originally planned album (plus the bonus
track Call Me with Lil Kim), making (in my opinion)
a poor comeback by Short Dog. There is also said to
be a track titled It's about the money feat. Puff
Daddy.
It remains
to be seem when the missing seven tracks will turn
up, but logic tells me that they will show up on the
future albums of Short Records artists - forcing true
Short fans to purchase those albums.
