Jive Records was the second label to sign Todd Shaw to a recording deal. JIVE was originally founded as a small independent label located in London in the late 1970s.

Today, it is the world's leading independent label in the pop, progressive urban, street and rap genres, featuring artists such as 1998 Grammy Award winner - R Kelly, rap duo Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, 80's superstar - Billy Ocean, the multi-platinum selling rap trio - A Tribe Called Quest, teen pop-queen Britney Spears and not forgetting the global phenomenon of Backstreet Boys.
