The Too Short Mixtapes was a project that Short worked on in 1999.

News of the first Mix Tapes appeared on the too short website (one of many
that he has had - and disappeared over the years) featured a new series of
Too Short Albums. They were advertised as:

	Too Short Mix Tape Volume 1 : NATION RIDERS "In stores 5/19/99"
	BAD WAYS - I'M THE BAD GUY "In stores 5/19/99"
	Too Short Mix Tape Volume 2 : THE SEX MIX "In stores 8/10/99"
	Too Short Mix Tape Volume 3 : THE WEED MIX "In stores 9/14/99"
	Too Short Mix Tape Volume 4 : THE STRUGGLE "In stores 10/14/99""
	Too Short Mix Tape Volume 5 : GHETTO PASS "In stores 11/9/99""

The mix tape did not come out on the advertised date. The Bad Ways album did
come out at a later date. Then finally the first of the mixtapes was released, and
according to the CD cover, there were now only three more mixtapes to come.
They were to be:

	Too Short Mix Tape Volume 2 : GHETTO PASS "In stores 9/28/99"
	Too Short Mix Tape Volume 3 : THE WEED MIX "coming soon"
	Too Short Mix Tape Volume 4 : THE SEX MIX "coming soon"

 

As we all know now (2001) no more Mix Tapes have been released, but rather
annoyingly, the GHETTO PASS mix tape was released as a NATIONWIDE album
instead. Presumeable the projects became merged. I highly suspect that the
Sex Mix came out under the guise of YOU NASTY instead. The Weed Mix must
still be in the vaults of unreleased Too Short Material.
