While the guys were onstage, Nick spotted Abby again. She had written him a note that she wanted to give him if he ever went near her again. And he did! It said:
Dear Nick,
Hi! My name is Abby Davis. You don’t know me but oh well! I’m 18 and I live in my own house in Orlando. The blonde girl sitting next to me is my best friend Mandy. She loves Howie. Hehe! Anyway, if you want to keep in touch call me at 555-8008 or email me at Abbistababie@aol.com Kay? Luv, @bby
Nick’s heart skipped a beat as he read the note. He had put it in his pocket during the rest of the concert. Then he left to go shower,
AJ was on a walky-talky with a guard. Mandy and Abby were just getting up to leave. The guard asked Abby to wait.
“Is this her?” he asked into the walky-talky.
“Yeah! That’s her! Bring the blonde one too!” a voice trailed over the walky-talky.
“Uh...are we in trouble?” Abby asked.
“No! Not at all!” The guard laughed. Mandy and Abby looked at each other and shrugged. The guard took them backstage.
By then, everyone else had left (all the fans) and the guys were showering. Except Kevin. He had showered already. He was sitting on a couch reading a magazine.
“Kev, where is Boneface?” the guard asked.
“He’s in the back. He’ll be out in a minute,” Kevin replied. Kevin looked up from his magazine and stood up.
“Hi! I’m Kevin. But uh, I think you knew that already,” He smiled sticking out his hand for them to shake. Abby giggled.
“I’m Abby,” she smiled taking Kevin’s hand and shaking it.
“And I’m Mandy,” she smiled shaking his hand as well. Just then AJ and Howie walked out from behind Kevin.
“Oh! Hey Abby!” AJ smiled. “You ARE Abby...right?”
“Yes, I’m Abby,” Abby giggled. “This is my best friend Mandy.”
“Hello Mandy,” Howie smiled. He kissed her hand. Mandy couldn’t speak.
“You must be waiting for Nick, huh?” Kevin asked.
“I don’t know! AJ is the one who called me back here!” Abby giggled.
“Well, I’ve got an idea...” AJ grinned.
