“Julia? Are you okay? You seem...I don’t know, twitchy,” Nick said.
“What? Yeah! I’m okay!” Julia said moving around in her seat.
“No, you’re not Jules. Stop lying to me,” Nick said in a serious tone.
“Okay, sorry. I’m just...I dunno...” Julia sighed.
“Are you high?” Nick joked. Julia playfully hit him.
“No! I am not high!” Julia giggled. “I’m just anxious for the other guys to come...if they do!” Julia answered.
“Ohhhhh! I think you like one of the other guys. Like Brian or something,” Nick grinned.
“I do not!” Julia said standing up.
“Then why are you so anxious?” Nick asked.
“I don’t know! Just leave me alone Nick!” Julia shouted running upstairs to her room.
“God...I thought she grew up!” Nick muttered. Just then Brian came in.
“What was that yelling about?” Brian asked.
“Julia got mad at me,” Nick answered.
“What did you do this time?”
“Very Funny Rok! I didn’t do anything!”
“Yeah right. Knowing you, you did something obviously.”
“What?! She just said she was anxious to see the other guys and I said I think she likes one of them. Like you or something.”
“Oh God Nick. Don’t say stuff like that to her!”
“Why? Does she like you or something?”
“Stop saying ‘or something!’ It’s annoying! But no she doesn’t like me. She likes AJ. Give her a break okay?!”
“She does? I didn’t know that. If I knew that I wouldn’t have said anything.”
“Whatever Nick. I’m gonna go talk to her."
“No! Let me.” Nick said stopping Brian.
“Okay,” Brian said sitting down again. Nick got up and walked upstairs and knocked in Julia’s door. He got no answer.
“Julia?” Nick asked.
“What do you want?” Julia snapped.
“I want to talk to you. Can I come in?” Nick asked. Julia got up and opened the door.
“What is it?” Julia asked.
“I’m sorry I upset you. I didn’t mean to,” Nick apologized.
“It’s okay Nickerz. I’m not mad at you. I’m just...I dunno. Not me today,” Julia answered. They talked for a few more minutes, hugged and went downstairs. As all three of them talked, the doorbell rang. Julia jumped up.
“I’ll get it!” She shrieked. Nick and Brian just laughed at her. She ran to open the door. When she opened it she saw AJ and Howie.
“Hey guys!” Julia beamed.
“Hey Julia,” AJ smiled.
“Hi Julia, how are you?” Howie asked.
“I’m fine thanks. Come in!” Julia smiled. They both stepped in and greeted Nick and Brian. Julia had a big smile on her face.
“Do any of you want something to drink?” Julia asked.
“Sure, Got any beer?” AJ joked.
“Very funny! But no,” Julia giggled.
“Damn!” AJ said.
“Sure Julia, I’ll have some water,” Howie said.
“Okay, Nick? Brian? Want anything?” Julia asked.
“No, I’m okay. Thanks,” Brian answered.
“Same. Thanks though,” Nick answered.
“No prob.!” Julia smiled walking into the kitchen. AJ followed. Julia grabbed a funky looking cup from her cupboard and put it on the table.
“Need some help?” AJ asked. Julia jumped.
“Geez! You scared me! No, I’m okay. Thanks,” Julia smiled. She walked over to her water cooler type thing and got Howie his water. AJ just watched her.
